Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 653

Seraphina practically bolted out of the hotel.

She couldn't stomach the thought of humiliating herself further in front of the crowd. It felt like a thousand daggers were piercing her skin. Every casual glance from a passerby, every stare from a security guard, felt like a judgment.

She was as jumpy as a startled bird.

Ignoring her shattered reality and spinning mind, she scrambled into her car.

Her hands and feet were ice-cold, and her heart plummeted into a suffocating pit of despair.

The redness rimming her eyes stood out starkly against her pale, sickly complexion, making her look unhinged.

She sped back to the Vance family estate.

The house was supposed to be hosting a massive banquet in her honor tonight to celebrate her invitation from Chairman Croix Sr. Her family had been convinced the patriarch was finally acknowledging her and welcoming his future grandchild.

And so...

When Seraphina walked through the front door...

She was met with a sickeningly festive atmosphere. Her mother, Blanche, was practically glowing as she chatted on the phone. "Yes, our Sera is already preparing for the wedding! You simply must come when the time comes..."

The words hit Seraphina like battery acid. Her face twisted into an ugly snarl as she lunged forward, snatching the phone from Blanche's hand and smashing it into the floor.

Blanche gasped in shock.

Taking in her daughter's frantic state, she asked, "Sera? What's going on? Why are you back so early, and by yourself?"

Seraphina stood there panting. She couldn't bring herself to utter a single word about the disaster.

She couldn't admit that her reputation was in tatters.

But the truth beat her to it. Silas Vance stormed through the front door, his usual refined demeanor completely replaced by fury. "How the hell did you screw this up so badly?! Why am I hearing that Chairman Croix kicked you out in front of everyone?!"

That wasn't even the worst of it.

Silas had spent the last few weeks scrambling to keep the company afloat after their recent financial hit.

Silas's face turned purple with rage. Gone was the loving father act as he roared, "Forget about any wedding! That old man dug up every single dirty secret she had! Now the entire city of Kingsford knows about her shady past. She's dragged our family name through the mud!"

His so-called friends had gleefully called him to share the gossip.

The public humiliation stung worse than a physical slap across the face!

Blanche trembled, her eyes wide with disbelief. "What about Mr. Croix? Why didn't he defend you?"

That question twisted the knife in Seraphina's bleeding heart. She gritted her teeth, her red eyes burning with stubborn denial.

"He... his hands were tied."

She couldn't bring herself to admit the truth.

She had been paraded around like garbage in front of everyone. How could Sebastian have protected her when his grandfather was the one leading the charge?

Silas exploded again. "Our company is being gutted right now! You think that's a coincidence? This is Forrest Croix's doing—maybe even the Yves family too! It's karma, that's what it is!"
