Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 667

She had originally convinced herself that Raelynn might not actually be the heiress.

She reasoned that even if Sylvia Dalton hadn't tampered with the samples, the results might have been exactly the same.

But now she was being told that another amulet had surfaced. How was that even possible? How could the exact same priceless artifact appear in the exact same place twice?

And for it to happen right now, when her life was falling apart...

Seraphina didn't know what to think, but she felt her blood run ice-cold.

Blanche looked equally horrified, her face flushed with fury. "Raelynn?! Don't let her play you! How do you even know this new one is real? When I took it, there was only one! I know what I saw!"

She was entirely completely blindsided by this revelation.

If they hadn't bumped into Sierra and baited the information out of her, they would have never known about this absolute nightmare.

Sierra looked at them like they were crazy.

She clutched the jacket tighter to her chest, scowling. "Whatever. Just stop spreading rumors about my family. We finally have real hope again, so back off."

Without another word, she turned and sprinted away.

Blanche stared after her, trembling.

She locked eyes with Seraphina, both of them paralyzed by the sheer impossibility of what they had just heard.

Seraphina's breath shook. It felt like someone had poured acid down her throat; a suffocating wave of jealousy consumed her, making her want to scream like a lunatic.

Why?

Why did it have to be Raelynn?

Why, at the exact moment she had lost everything and her reputation was in shreds, was Raelynn effortlessly claiming the ultimate prize?!

It was a fate worse than death!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the building.

Raelynn finished walking Dr. Hayes around the gallery.

They decided to head straight to the nursing home.

The three of them rode the elevator down together.

Dr. Hayes and Sierra got into their car.

Just as Raelynn pulled out her keys to unlock her own vehicle, the blare of police sirens shattered the silence.

They had erased every piece of evidence!

Raelynn was just as shocked. Murder...?

As the chaotic screaming continued, a man approached her. It was the same officer who had just arrested Blanche. He looked Raelynn up and down. "Are you Raelynn Ortiz?"

A terrifying, long-buried suspicion violently resurfaced in Raelynn's mind.

As the realization hit her, her lips trembled. "Yes, I am."

Detective Garrett nodded. "You need to come with us too. This is regarding... your mother, Rowan Ortiz."

Raelynn had already guessed it.

But the confirmation still made her head spin.

It was all happening so fast.

She quickly sent an iMessage to Dr. Hayes, explaining there was an emergency and that she would have to meet her grandfather later.

Dr. Hayes, having seen the police cars arrive, was incredibly understanding and told her to handle her business first.

Feeling like she was walking on air, Raelynn climbed into the back of a second police cruiser.
