Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 706

It wasn't that Sebastian was a gentleman.

It was that... he had read her like an open book from day one. He hadn't even bothered looking for excuses. He simply rejected her, looked right through her, and despised her.

Every time the realization hit her now, a phantom ache throbbed in her temples.

A toxic cocktail of hatred, fury, and bitter resentment.

A man like Sebastian could draw blood without ever lifting a knife. He played mind games flawlessly, wrapping his prey around his finger until he drained them dry, leaving them entirely powerless to fight back.

He wasn't principled.

He knew exactly what he wanted. He was cold-blooded, ruthless, and every move he made was designed to be lethal without leaving a single trace of blood on his hands.

Cameron hadn't believed a word out of Seraphina's mouth at first.

But as he thought about it...

It actually made perfect sense.

His older brother had always been an arrogant bastard with incredibly high standards. If it hadn't been for that accidental marriage to Raelynn years ago, someone like Sebastian wouldn't have given any woman the time of day. He was the kind of man who functioned perfectly fine without basic human connections or emotional needs.

So the idea that he had never laid a finger on Seraphina was entirely plausible.

But then...

Cameron suddenly lunged forward, his hand snapping around her throat. "That makes sense. Sebastian thinks he's a god. I always thought it was completely bizarre that he'd fall for your pathetic tricks. And look at that, the second you weren't useful, he tossed you in the trash. But I suppose you still have your uses. You did me a massive favor before he cut you loose."

Stealing that strategic deployment plan had been the knife that finally sliced open Sebastian's jugular.

Seraphina saw the dark glint in Cameron's eyes and knew immediately he was planning to discard her too.

She ground her teeth. "I came here to tell you that I'm pregnant with your child. You don't get to just walk away from this. I'm in serious trouble right now, Cameron. For the sake of your own flesh and blood, you have to protect me."

Cameron's expression instantly warped.

He had suspected as much at the welcome banquet.

He just never expected her to show up at his door and use it to blackmail him for protection.

"Are you out of your mind?!" He ripped her away by the throat and shoved her backward, his eyes flashing with lethal intent. "You take this little secret to your grave. Because if you dare breathe a word of this to my grandfather—"

"Afraid?" Seraphina burst into a sudden, twisted laugh. "The Chairman despises me right now. You're trying to steal control of headquarters from Sebastian. If word gets out that I'm carrying your bastard, do you really think your grandfather will hand you the keys to the kingdom? And let's not forget, *you* blackmailed me into stealing those corporate secrets! Leaking that data is a federal crime. If you don't help me, I will drag you straight to hell with me!"
