Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 779

The word 'engagement' slipped smoothly from Zella's lips.

Raelynn looked at Sebastian. He remained as unapproachable and pristine as ever, a striking presence amidst the sea of guests.

"Congratulations," Raelynn said, pulling her gaze back.

Zella studied her face. "Thank you. I hope you truly mean that."

"You're overthinking it, Ms. Davenport. Raelynn's congratulations are genuine, and we expect the same in return," Ian interjected, his voice steady and commanding.

"Raelynn and I will be holding our wedding soon. We look forward to your best wishes."

Zella glanced at Ian and suddenly smiled. "Of course. Now that is something truly worth celebrating."

"We'll catch up later," Zella said smoothly, offering a polite nod before turning and walking straight toward Sebastian.

Raelynn didn't watch them leave.

She noticed several people were already making a beeline for Ian to network.

"Go ahead and mingle. Don't worry about me," she told him.

Ian nodded. "I'll come find you in a bit."

"Okay."

Raelynn found a quiet lounge area and sat down on a velvet sofa.

Before long, Sierra emerged from the crowd.

The rest of the Yves family had also arrived.

"Raelynn, why didn't you ride with us?" Sierra asked, sliding onto the sofa next to her and affectionately linking her arm through Raelynn's.

Raelynn frowned slightly, the expression gone in a flash.

Ever since she discovered Sierra's true identity, an invisible barrier had gone up. She had no desire to play sisters. Yet, Sierra remained relentlessly enthusiastic. If Raelynn pushed her away, she would look like the bitter, unreasonable one.

"Where is Julian?"

"My brother got held up talking to some people, and Mr. Flynn is here too." Sierra looked around, seemingly oblivious to Raelynn's subtle rejection. "This is such an incredible party. Ms. Davenport must be so adored. They must have thrown this just for her."

"More or less."
