Quentin remained silent for a long time, his expression frighteningly dark.
Sylvia Dalton also struggled to process the sudden turn of events.
Everything had been fine just moments ago.
How had it all so silently and suddenly hurtled toward a dead end?
A flash of darkness and fury darted quickly through Sylvia's eyes.
"Quentin, I know you only believe it because your heart aches for Raelynn. You don't need to be put in a tough spot. If it brings the family peace, taking a step back is fine for Sierra."
She didn't choose to beg for mercy.
Things had already gone too far.
She knew all too well that with Sebastian's intervention, the situation had been pushed past the point of no return.
A chill ran down her spine.
Sebastian was destroying them without lifting a finger.
Begging now would only make things worse. Retreating might leave a sliver of hope for the future.
"Mom, I understand."
Quentin didn't look at Sylvia again.
He made his stance clear with a stony expression.
At this point, whether Sierra was guilty or not, being linked to such malicious acts meant the implications were severe. If he shielded her, how could he ever face Raelynn again?
He had already abandoned Raelynn once during the hostage crisis.
If he sided with Sierra again, he had a sinking feeling that Raelynn would never acknowledge him as her father for the rest of her life.
As for Sierra and Sylvia.
A complex emotion flashed through Quentin's eyes. He would make proper arrangements for them later.
Quentin was usually a man who didn't sweat the small details, but his agreement with Dr. Hayes's arrangement sent a massive shockwave through Sylvia's heart.
Sierra felt as though her bones had been pulled from her body, collapsing into her chair.
Stripped of the Yves family name, what did she amount to?
What had she been fighting for all these years?
The very thing she feared losing the most had just slipped right through her fingers.
Trembling, Sierra glanced at Raelynn before staring at Sebastian in absolute terror.
It felt like she had leapt into a web. Her every move was anticipated, all her schemes dismantled. Yet he didn't rush in for the kill; instead, he stripped her of any chance to ever fight back.
"Starting today, move out of Raelynn's estate. Don't pollute her sight." Dr. Hayes was furious today.
Every single incident had danced over her boundaries.
Even if the plotting was airtight and lacked evidence.
He had zero desire to leave Sebastian alone with Raelynn.
But he couldn't exactly defy his grandmother's orders.
He shot Sebastian a displeased glare. "The rest is family business. Sebastian, it's about time you went back to clean up your own family's mess. Stop wasting time at my house."
Sebastian glanced at him. "Thanks for the concern."
Julian was speechless.
Did Sebastian just not understand plain English?
Irritated but helpless, he kept a stiff face as he walked out the door with Dr. Hayes.
Raelynn understood too.
Without solid proof, this outcome for Sierra was the harshest possible consequence. For one, she had used third parties for everything, and two, she carefully skirted the legal red lines, leaving internal family discipline as the only option.
Quentin looked at her, clearly wanting to say something but holding back.
Raelynn ignored him.
She didn't spare Sierra another glance.
She turned and walked away.
Sebastian turned and followed her lead.

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
I think for as slow as the beginning was, their turning point is just so fast... really hope we actually get to read about R and S and their rekindle.... we did not read 950 pages for their story to be sidelined. Im for this sideline story, but it if it's to separate from the main characters and their story, please make it separate book....
Author please update more chapters...
I really like Zella, she is becoming a good friend to Raelynn. Ian needs to go. The relationship with Chloe is confusing. Some chapters they are cousins, sometimes they're sibling. A little confusing....
Julians role as big brother- I feel comes from a genuine place, but in a relationship thats is just as stained as Raelynns and Sebastians. It hard for me to connect to his big brother role as he too was such a problem before. And while they talked a little bit, the conversation did not give me the believe there was resolution between Raelynn and Julian. For a brute, he should make his feelings clear about the situation to Raelynn and then step back, until there is more foundation for him to stand on....
Knife in my heart. I hurt for Raelynn. She has made it this far, but how much does she have in her, everyone has a breaking point. Some back of me hopes the author is joking to lighten the mood after so many intense chapters, but thats not this kind of story or couple....
My heart cannot take this. This, cannot be how it ends with these too. They need resolution with each other. Raelynn needs to be more humanize with Sebastian. We know she is hurt, but this is the branch. She needs all these answers, if not for them to be together, then for Lily to have both her parents. Stop with the mind games Raelynn!...
Its like the story is just repeating itself...
Timeline is getting lost for me. So many treasured little memories Raelynn has but yet, he was gone for years ? Anyways... still rooting for them! These two need a heart to heart. Lily "forgetting" someone, not possible in this day and age and I hope thats not their storyline....
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
