Bound by the Past, Locked by the Heart novel Chapter 120

Her hands gripped the bedsheets until her knuckles turned white.

Throughout the entire encounter, his arm remained locked tightly around her waist, gripping her as if he were terrified she might vanish into thin air the very next second.

Her consciousness slowly blurred, leaving nothing but her body's most primal reactions.

They were moving in profound harmony, performing an unspoken farewell.

She lost count of how many times they went, but eventually, she couldn't hold back and pleaded, her voice impossibly soft.

"Randal... that's enough..."

He leaned down, pressing a lingering kiss to her shoulder. "One last time."

When it was finally over, he held her from behind, pressing kiss after kiss against every inch of skin on her back.

His voice rang out in the darkness, ragged and exhausted, laced with a faint, almost imperceptible panic.

"Willa, promise me you'll stay by my side forever."

But Willa was so drained she barely had the energy to speak.

Moments later, her eyelids grew unimaginably heavy.

Whatever else Randal said, she simply couldn't hear it.

When she woke up the next morning, the space beside her was empty once again.

But this time, she felt no emotional turbulence—only a quiet, resigned sigh in her heart.

The day had finally come.

Sitting up, she noticed her phone resting on the nightstand, pinned beneath a sticky note.

[Stepping out for two days. Be a good girl and wait for me at home.]

She picked up the phone and pressed the power button.

The moment the screen lit up, notifications flooded in.

She slowly recounted everything that had happened over the past few days, leaving no detail out.

After listening, Sophie fell utterly silent before asking bleakly, "Willa, do you know that Randal is getting engaged to Scarlett tomorrow?"

"The ceremony is tomorrow at 10 AM at The Grand Imperial Hotel on the Eastside. Even Corbin got an invite. The news is plastered all over the internet..."

Mid-sentence, her pitch suddenly skyrocketed, as if she had just unearthed a massive conspiracy. "Willa, tell me the truth. Did Randal turn your phone off?"

Willa sighed. "Yes."

On the other end, Sophie cursed fiercely, "That absolute piece of trash! He's getting engaged, but he still wants to string you along? Trying to have his cake and eat it too, isn't he worried his organs will shut down from exhaustion..."

After her tirade, she grew completely serious and asked, "Willa, what are you going to do?"

Before Willa could even respond, Sophie was already squawking again, "Willa, why don't I go with you to crash the wedding? Force the bastard to make an ultimate choice on the spot! Who knows, maybe he'll pick you."

Willa rubbed her temples, nursing a sudden headache. "Sophie, lay off the soap operas."
