Bound by the Past, Locked by the Heart novel Chapter 134

Trembling, Willa gently pushed against him. "Randal, get up first."

He acted as if he hadn't heard her, his tone laced with a sick possessiveness and his eyes brimming with absolute madness.

"Willa, what am I supposed to do with you? Maybe I should just chain you to the bed?"

As he spoke, his lips curved into an unsettling, eerie smile.

Willa's heart lurched, the breath catching in her throat.

He really had lost his mind.

This wasn't the Randal she knew.

Taking a deep breath, she forced her voice to remain steady. "Randal, did you skip your medication today?"

Randal's gaze wavered as if he were trying to think, but after a long pause, he still couldn't seem to remember if he had taken his pills or not.

"Meds..." he mumbled, his brow furrowing.

Willa knew there was no point in reasoning with him when he was in this state.

"Randal," she called out softly. "Can you get up and take your medicine first?"

To her surprise, instead of standing up, Randal suddenly pulled her into a bone-crushing hug.

The force of his embrace was so intense it made her ribs ache.

A muffled groan slipped past her lips, but he showed no intention of letting go.

"No," his voice drifted down from above her. "If I let go, you'll run. I can't let you run away again."

Willa was starting to suffocate under his desperate grip, forcing her to struggle slightly.

She gently patted his back, trying to soothe him. "I'm not leaving. I really won't leave this time. Just let go for a second, I can barely breathe."

"Liar." Randal's eyes swam with a bloodthirsty red. "Willa, you're the biggest liar of all."

His tone suddenly softened, carrying a hint of grievance, but his arms remained clamped around her like a vice, refusing to yield an inch.

"Willa, I've been so miserable these past few days. Truly miserable."

She intentionally softened her voice, letting the end of her sentence trail upward with a seductive tone that felt foreign even to herself.

The tactic worked instantly.

Randal slowly lifted his head, a flash of bewilderment in his eyes as he tried to discern if she was tricking him.

Willa looked up, taking the initiative to brush her nose against his in a sweet, coaxing gesture. "Please, Randal?"

Her docile, alluring demeanor completely dismantled the last of Randal's defenses.

He hesitated for a few seconds before finally relaxing his crushing grip, though he immediately locked his fingers tightly around her wrist.

"Don't lie to me," he said darkly, fixing her with a predatory stare. "If you dare run, I swear I'll chain you up."

Willa's chest tightened, but she kept a smile on her face and nodded obediently. "I won't lie to you."

Only then did Randal pull her up from the sofa, half-supporting, half-carrying her as he led her straight into the bedroom.

The moment they crossed the threshold, he moved to eagerly push her down onto the mattress.
