"Bitch, are you trying to threaten me or strike a deal with me?" She scowled at Giselle. "As long as I don't sue Donovan for kidnapping and attempting to kill my daughter, you won't leak the recording. Is that what you want?"

Giselle sneered. "Don't twist my words, old hag. I told you, your daughter's disappearance has nothing to do with my husband.

"The reason I told you all that was to remind you of your sins. Stop playing the victim, thinking everyone wronged you. What you need to do is atone for your sins and forget about revenge. Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless."
