Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 671

"What?" Giselle immediately caught the important part. "Doctor, did you just say 'pregnancy'?"

"Yes," the doctor replied, a bit puzzled. "Why? You're pregnant. Haven't you had a checkup before?"

Hearing this, Donovan widened his eyes in surprise. "You're saying my wife is pregnant?"

"Yes." The doctor handed Donovan a blood test report with a smile. "Looks like you didn't know yet. Congratulations! Mrs. Kane is about 40 days along. Her fainting is likely due to the early pregnancy symptoms. I'll prescribe some medication to help support the pregnancy."

In disbelief, Giselle quickly lowered her head to check the test result with Donovan.

When she saw the confirmation of the pregnancy, her eyes immediately welled up with tears. She was still haunted by what had happened with Anne, but right now, all those dark thoughts vanished at once.

Donovan, who was just as overwhelmed, read the report. Seeing the results, he unconsciously broke into a smile as his stern expression softened.

Still, Giselle felt a pang of unease. She asked, "Doctor, you said the fetus is just slightly over a month old. There are no issues with it, right?"

"Yes. From the results, everything is stable, and the fetus hasn't been affected."

"What about my condition? Do I still need to take my medication every day? Could it affect the fetus?"

"Don't worry," the doctor reassured her. Keep taking your medication for epilepsy as prescribed. Just maintain a good mood, keep a healthy diet, and a good sleep schedule. Avoid anything that could trigger your condition. There's no harm to your child. Don't stress too much."

With those comforting words, Giselle finally allowed herself to cry tears of joy. Unable to speak, she wrapped her arms around Donovan's neck and began to sob uncontrollably.

Giselle's left hand had been badly damaged, and it had affected her tendons. But after immediate treatment, she didn't need to stay in the hospital. She just had to return for regular checkups and medication.

Not long after, they were ready to leave.

As Giselle sat in the back of the car on the way home, she was still floating in the joy of the pregnancy. She held the bottles of medication the doctor had prescribed, reading the instructions for taking them.

But Donovan, on the other hand, had drifted into deep thought.

Before, when his own safety was at risk, he didn't feel the pressure to act fast. He could afford to take things slow and strengthen the security little by little. But now, with Giselle's safety on the line and their unborn child at risk, there was no time to waste. He had to act immediately.
