Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 683

Afterward, Donovan accompanied Giselle back to her office. A quick check into Renee's financial history revealed that she had accumulated quite a bit of debt and had been involved in a failed business deal with the factory owned by Conrad, who had caused trouble today.

Giselle first addressed the immediate crisis by coordinating with the PR department to prevent the incident from leaking to the public, which would have harmed the company's reputation. Then, she visited Bertha at the hospital with Donovan. She even arranged for a psychologist to help with her trauma.

In the evening, they then went to the police station and learned that Conrad was now in custody, facing charges that would likely land him in prison for over five years.

By the time they returned home, it was ten at night. After a quick bath, they collapsed into bed from exhaustion.

They slept soundly until eight in the morning.

Neither of them had gotten up from bed when the butler, Heath Parnell, knocked gently at their bedroom door.

"Sir, the bodyguard you hired has arrived and is waiting in the living room."

Donovan, still half asleep and half naked, was lying next to Giselle with his arm wrapped around her as she peacefully slept in her nightgown.

Groggily, he instructed Heath, "Show him his accommodation and set him up for training."

"Very well."

At their villa, there was a whole team of staff—a butler, four housekeepers, three security guards, a chef, and two drivers. They took care of everything for Donovan and Giselle. In the future, there would be two nannies too.

Heath led this team of staff in maintaining the property. Even though the large staff team seemed like overkill, there were quite a number of tasks to do every day.

The villa’s daily operations covered everything from the basics, such as laundry, cooking, and cleaning, to more specialized tasks like dog walking, repairs, moving items, sourcing supplies, weeding, pest control, and maintaining the extensive amenities, including the gym, the pool, the golf course, the garden, and others.

On top of that, there was the upkeep of dozens, if not hundreds, of luxury vehicles, and the entire security system for the property. Besides, there were always unexpected chores that the owners of the villa might request at any given moment.

Donovan demanded nothing less than perfection when it came to his home. Every inch had to be spotless at all times, and the ingredients for meals had to be the finest, often flown in from overseas. As a result, every member of the staff had a heavy workload.
