1 frowned and slowly woke up feeling stiff and awkward. I blinked rapidly my vision blurry. Where was I?

I frowned slightly confused when I felt a little hand grasping my shirt.

I looked down to see Blaze’s head resting on my stomach.

I weakly raised my hand and pushed it through his hair.

He jerked up his eyes wide. “Mommy?”

I smiled and he smiled in return and threw his arms around my neck hugging me tightly.

“Hey baby” I laughed lightly.

Suddenly he moved out of my arms and ran to the door. “She’s awake” He yelled happily.

I frowned slightly concerned at the sound of thundering feet running to my room. I yelp slighlty as the door was flung

open my brothers large forms tackling me.

“You ever do that again and were locking you in a room got that!” Luca growled into my shoulder. I laughed soflty and

nodded grabbing both thier hands as the held me between them. I sighed as the familiar conection buzzed between us.

I had missed my brothers more then i thought and I was excited to have them here.

“You should have called us‘ Leo growled brushing my bangs from me eyes. I looked down not answering.

“Lena oh my gosh have you seen some of your pack members? HOT*

Valentina rolled her eyes “That chick is so weird some times.”

“Ahh admit it she’s your best friend‘ Luca laughed.

Valentina grumbled under her breath and looked away. “Mommy?” Blaze asked shyly from the door way.

I smiled at him and held out a arm. Instantly he ran forward and jumped onto the bed snuggling into my side.

“This little guy here hasn’t left your side the whole time” Luca said ruffling Blaze’s hair.

“How long have I been out?” I asked suddenly wary.

“Two weeks but that normal” Luca shrugged not looking me in the eye.

“Where’s Shadow?” I asked quietly.

“I’m right here” Shadow walked in slightly disheveled. His hair was all over the place his face looking as if he hadn’t slept

in days.

Dark circles marked his eyes and he appeared slightly more animal then human at the moment. He quickly swept down and lifted me up before sliding under me and setting me down on his lap.

He buried his face in my neck breathing deeply his body going limp.

“You shouldn’t have gone. You could have been killed.” His tone wasn’t angry but sad. I knew he was talking about Ambria and the tired lit in his voice made me feel guilty.

I turned my head and pressed my lips against his making him sigh.

“Ewww‘ Blaze cried covering his eyes. I laughed softly and pressed myself closer to Shadow who rested his hands against

my flat stomach.

Shadow pressed his face against my neck again taking deep breaths of my scent.

Suddenly Simon walked in with a annoyed expression on his face, his lips in a thin line as he muttered some curses. My uncle walked in a smirk on his face as Ambria sat on his hip.

I raised an eyebrow at this.

My uncle shook his head a smug smile still on his lips.

‘Aren’t you cute? Valentina gushed moving towards Ambria. Ambria blushed and hid her face in my uncle neck

‘Whats your name cutie? She asked.

Ambria peeked out from my uncle’s neck and hesitantly whispered her name.

“That’s a beautiful name” Valentina told her.

Ambria smiled then reached for Valentina making Valentina look to my uncle in suprise. My uncel shurgged and handed

Ambria over.

Soon Valentina was lost in a game with Ambria that had us all smiling as Ambria’s giggles filled the room.

Blaze was staring intetnly at Ambria a odd look on his little face. I realsied my uncle had also notced Blaze’s look and was

glaring heatdly at my son.

I threw a throw pillow at him making hi look at me baffled. I pointed my eyes to Blaze an shook my head.

My uncle huffed and crossed his arms.

After a while they all left with a hug and a goodbye. When we were finally alone Shadow pushed me onto my back and

hovered over me his eyes dark.

“You will never scare me the way you did understand me?”

I stared at my mate slightly shocked by the sound of his voice. It was hard and full of authority. He’d never spoken to me

like this and I found myself nodding.

He grabbed the back of my neck and roughly jerked my head up before smashing his lips against mine. The kiss was

angry, possessives, and consuming.

He broke the kiss suddenly and kissed down my neck. Before I knew what he was doing he sinked his fangs into my mark making me cry out loudly my hands clutching him tightly in shock and pleasure. I didn’t understand what possessed him to mark me again but as he ripped his shirt off I found I didn’t care at the moment.

I smile lazily as Shadow drew random patterns on my hip.

“Well that was nice‘ I mused.

His hand stilled on my hip causing me to look up. He stared at me a eye brow raised.

Just nice? He asked.

Feeling playful I rolled onto my stomach and crawled on top of him shivering as his gaze darken.

‘I mean it wasn’t your best but—I squealed as he flipped us over and pinned my arms over my head

“What were you saying?” He growled.

I opened my mouth to answer when a knock on the door interrupted me.

Shadow growled annoyed. “What!?”

‘Sorry to interrupt Alpha but there’s a man here claiming to be your mates grandfather‘

I felt myself pale. Shadow’s snarl vibrating through me.

Nervous yet furious. I had no idea if the man standing in the living was my real grandfather or the one who had

tortured Shadow along with his demented Mistress.

“Who are you” I snarled.

The man turned around revealing the face I’d known for years.

‘Alec‘ I swallowed.

The man who I had seen tortured as a child. Always at beck and call for Claire.

“Granddaughter” He smiled taking a step forward.

I took a step back snarling, Shadow growling just as loud his arm around my waist.

The others had wanted to come to but I told them it was something I had to deal with alone. Of course Shadow had instantly protested and I realized I probably couldn’t handle being away from him so soon.

The man sighed and gave me a sad look before slowly sitting down.
