Chapter 169 As You Wish
Serena shook her head decisively. “It’s okay, I can manage. I’ll handle it myself.”

The man disregarded her protest and, without a word, lifted the plate before her, replacing it with the one he had already prepared.
Lucinda popped a cherry tomato into her mouth, immediately recoiling at the sharp tang. Wow, these tomatoes are extraordinarily sour today, she mused.
Once the meal concluded, Lucinda didn’t linger; she departed promptly.
She strode away with a sense of contentment, though a subtle pang tugged at her heart, as if her dearest companion had been quietly taken from her,
Yet witnessing Sebastian’s attentiveness toward Serena, she exhaled a faint, relieved sigh.
Hmph! Trevor, mark my words–you will regret this.
After dinner, Serena began organizing her belongings. Well, “organizing” might be generous–it was more like acclimating herself to where everything had been placed.
The walk–in closet was enormous, with more than half of its expanse dominated by her wardrobe.
Sebastian’s clothing was sparse in comparison, yet each item radiated wealth and refinement.
Apparently, the second floor even boasted a room tailored for her as a study.
Law texts crowded half the shelves, and there was even a coffee machine installed, clearly intended for her
use.
When did he figure out that I love coffee?
Serena exited the study and noticed Sebastian stepping out of their bedroom, a pillow clutched under his
arm.
“How’s everything? Settling in all right? If it’s not enough, there are still empty rooms on the third floor,” he inquired.
“This is more than enough,” she assured him.
Even excluding the bedroom, her possessions alone occupied two entire rooms.
Compared to the Steele Residence–where she hadn’t even possessed a study, because Yvonne had converted it into a closet–this arrangement wasn’t merely adequate. It was lavish.
Sebastian’s lips curved into a tender smile, “Alright. Until the wedding, I’ll take the guest room. You have
the master.”

Serena, however, seized on the wrong detail. “Wait… we’re still having a wedding?”

He lifted an eyebrow. “Naturally. Mrs. Levine, I married you properly. How could we not celebrate it?”
He reinforced his point, unwavering. “I already told you, I have no intention of marrying anyone a second time.”
Serena bit her lip, falling silent for a moment. “Alright… let’s postpone the wedding a little, okay?”
“Of course.”
Sebastian’s gaze softened as he looked down at her, warmth radiating from his eyes. “But tell me, Mrs. Levine, when do you intend to accompany me to meet my dad?”
Serena smiled faintly.
Soon. Perhaps on your nephew’s wedding day next month?”
Sebastian’s dark eyes deepened with understanding. He immediately grasped her implication.
He had promised to allow her to leverage this opportunity–and he would honor that promise.
A faint smile tugged at his lips. “Very well. As you wish.”
At daybreak the following morning, Trevor made his way to Serena’s apartment.
Having been blocked, he resorted to following an older gentleman into the elevator and rode upward.
He pressed the doorbell repeatedly, but after a dozen attempts, there was no response.
A neighbo
from the adjacent unit scrutinized him.
“Back again, young man?” she asked.
Trevor, recalling his last early visit and the resulting scolding, chose his words carefully. “Excuse me, miss -did the young lady return here yesterday?”
Addressing her respectfully brought a delighted smile to the elderly woman’s face.
“Miss? I could be your grandma!” she chuckled.
She laughed. “You mean that stunning young woman? Are you an acquaintance? She moved out yesterday!
“She’s beautiful, and her boyfriend’s quite a catch too! He even brought a whole crew to help her relocate
it was quite the spectacle. If you were her friend, how could you not know?”
Trevor’s expression darkened. “Ma’am, are you certain? Did her boyfriend really come to help her?”
Her demeanor shifted with his change in tone, and she huffed indignantly. “You don’t believe me? That boyfriend is easy on the eyes. No wonder she left you! Petty men like you are never wanted!”
