Amber snatched Trevor’s hand, panic all over her face. “Trevor, what happened to your hand?”
“It’s nothing.” His voice dropped. He tried pulling back.
But Amber wasn’t letting go.
She rushed to grab the first aid kit, knelt in front of him, and carefully began cleaning the wound. Her breath brushed over his skin, warm and soft. Trevor’s gaze flickered.
“Trevor, I know things have been a mess lately. I know you’re upset. But I still love you.”
Her voice trembled. Her eyes were red and watery. She stayed kneeling between his legs, and something in his chest finally loosened.
“Amber, you really love me that much?”
“I do.” She looked down, blushing. “I really do. I love you the most.”
His eyes darkened. Maybe he needed an outlet. Or maybe he just wanted to forget everything else.
He picked her up and headed for the bedroom. “Alright.
“I’ll give you what you want.”
At the front door of the villa, Sebastian had Serena pinned against the wall, kissing her deeply
It wasn’t enough for him.
His lips moved down her jawline, slow and hot. Their breath tangled. Serena’s fingers trembled.
She tried to push him away, but didn’t make it far. He caught her wrists and pinned them above her head.
His grip was firm. Possessive.
He laced his fingers through hers. The rings on their hands tapped together.
Serena didn’t fight it.

They were married. He had just proposed in public, so full of emotion it had left her dizzy.
They had agreed to wait until after the wedding. But now? “Sebastian…”
He lifted her leg around his waist. One arm held her close, the other cupped the back of her head. His kiss deepened.
He walked them toward the bedroom, not breaking contact.
By the time they reached the bed, he gently set her down. He braced himself over her, warm breath brushing her skin–her chin, cheeks, neck, and collarbone.
The air between them burned.
All that polished restraint he wore like a suit? Gone. What was left was raw and hungry.
Serena’s mind went blank. One thought echoed in her head–he was fire, and she was burning.
Right before everything tipped over, Sebastian stopped.
He pulled back, panting. His voice was low and hoarse. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.”
Serena stared up at the ceiling, dazed. “It’s fine.”
Sebastian loosened his tie and stood up. He didn’t look back. “Get some sleep.”
Serena’s lashes fluttered. “Where are you going?”
“Guest room. Shower. Sleep.”
He walked out in a few long strides. She didn’t even have time to react.
That was it?
‘Lucinda, does Sebastian have some kind of… condition?‘
