The bathtub was scattered with delicate rose petals. After checking the water’s temperature, Sebastian carefully eased her into it.
“Honey, come a little closer.”
Serena’s eyes snapped open, her gaze sharp with suspicion. “What are you planning to do?”
Sebastian pressed his lips into a thin line. “Nothing. Just scoot over so I can rub your shoulders and neck.”
She closed her eyes again, surrendering to him. “Here, harder. Right there.”
He followed her instructions with precision, his movements measured and deliberate, like a gentleman giving his wife an impeccable massage.
“Honey, Julian said if we want a daughter, hot baths are off–limits for me.”
“Oh, I never asked you to take a hot bath.”
Serena thought wryly, I’m the one sitting in the bath right now.
The next instant, she felt herself lifted into the air.
A flash of crimson ignited in Sebastian’s gaze, heat burning in his dark eyes.
Serena inhaled sharply, the fog in her mind clearing immediately.
Then a shadow enveloped her, muffling her gasp.
Moments ago, the water had been warm and indulgent.
Now her body pressed against the icy tiles, a shiver coursing through her.
“Cold…” she muttered, kicking him in annoyance.
Sebastian pressed a gentle kiss to the center of her forehead.
“Honey, let’s have a baby.”
A baby?
She ached for him–he wanted a child, and so did she.
Tears welled at the corners of her eyes as she bit her lip hard, almost drawing blood.

“There’s no one here, honey. It’s just the two of us in the villa,” he murmured.
“Charles can’t hear a thing–he’s in his room. We’re completely alone.
“Relax, honey. Let yourself moan for me.

“I love hearing you lose yourself like that.”
His voice deepened, rough with desire, guiding her softly, line by line.
Serena felt tears prick at her eyes, threatening to spill. That man–revealing everything so deliberately–as if she wouldn’t see right through his plan.
“You’re impossible!” she snapped.
Sebastian cupped her cheek tenderly, his touch low, sweet, and enticing.
It felt as if she had been lifted to the top of the night sky, watching fireworks explode into radiant trails of color.
He lowered his eyes and pressed a soft kiss to the tears glimmering at the corner of her eye.
“You did wonderfully, honey. You’re incredible.”
Bathroom, by the window, on the couch, and finally, the king–sized bed.
Sebastian explored every inch of her, unlocking one spot after another, relentless until she finally succumbed to sleep.
After he cleaned her up, he circled a date on the calendar next to the bed.
Their plan to make a baby was officially underway.
Nathan couldn’t hide his joy at the news that his son was being given the chance to come back.
“Call them tomorrow. Tell him to wrap up there and come home.”
Deanna’s excitement was palpable. “So when Trevor gets back, can he go straight into Levine Group?”
Nathan shook his head. “That’s not up to me. Seb needs to approve it.”
