“I didn’t just mute the group chat.” Sebastian snorted. “I archived it.”

Julian immediately followed suit, even archiving the group chat on his phone. Only then did his phone finally become quiet.
“Why does he have to make such a big deal out of everything? He claims to want a low–key proposal, but bet his girlfriend has already noticed.”
“She’s not his girlfriend,” Sebastian remarked.
Though Julian had only taken a single sip of wine, he briefly wondered whether he was drunk and hallucinating.
“Huh? What did you say?”
Sebastian curled his lips into a smirk. “She hasn’t agreed to be his girlfriend yet. He misunderstood.”
“Then…” Julian could barely believe his ears. “Why is he proposing tomorrow?”
“Who knows?” Sebastian shrugged.
Among these four best friends, none of them was truly kind–hearted.
They worried that their friend might suffer, yet at the same time, they worried that their friend would become too blissful.
Elijah was practically overwhelmed by his excitement.

Not only had he booked the venue in advance, but he had also personally checked and approved every single decoration in the room.
Admiring the custom–made wedding ring he’d ordered, he took a photo of the ring and uploaded it to the group chat.
“What aff
you think? Will she like the ring?”
The other three remained silent.
Two of them had muted and archived the group chat, so they didn’t even see the message.

Chapter 375 Goodbye
“Look. This is the ring he prepared for you.” She showed Winona the picture on her phone.
“Mmm.” Winona’s expression remained calm. “It’s quite pretty.”
But in the end, that was all it was–just a beautiful ring.

Serena drove Winona to the airport. Though they originally planned to stop Lucinda from joining them, Lucinda had insisted so strongly that they could only bring her along.
“Don’t forget to contact us when you arrive, Winona.”
“Yeah! And call us at least once a week! Don’t you dare forget about us!”
Winona laughed softly. “I won’t.”
Meanwhile, Elijah was waiting at the proposal venue. He tried calling Winona again and again, but no matter how many times he tried, the call simply wouldn’t connect.
A strange sense of unease crept into his heart.
He urged, “Sebastian, call Serena and ask what’s going on.”
Deciding to give Elijah a small push, Sebastian revealed the truth. “They’re probably at the airport right
now.”
The ring box slipped from Elijah’s hand and fell to the ground.
“The airport? Where are they going?”
“Winona’s leaving.” Sebastian said. “She probably won’t be coming today.”
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Elijah lost his temper instantly and grabbed Sebastian by the collar.
“Let go.” Sebastian’s gaze turned cold.
“Winona told my wife, and I wasn’t supposed to tell you either.
“You should be asking yourself why she’s leaving, instead of questioning me about not telling you sooner.”
Elijah rushed our the door.
The three best friends exchanged awkward looks.
Sebastian…” Julian scratched his nose. “Did Elijah just get stood up on his proposal?”
Sebastian nodded.
At the same time, Elijah
