Chapter 397 A Sunrise Wish
Chapter 397 A Sunrise Wish
Sebastian found that this kind of secret, sneaking–around romance actually felt pretty good.
In his dreams, he had already started planning next year’s company retreat.

Serena woke to the sound of birds.
Their cheerful chirping filled the air, so close it seemed to echo right beside her ears. Through the tent she could even see the shadows of birds flitting past.
She quietly lifted a corner of the tent flap and peeked outside. As expected, no one was around.
Pulling on her jacket, Serena slipped out of Sebastian’s tent as quietly as possible.
She took a deep breath of the crisp morning air. It felt wonderfully refreshing, almost healing.

At five o’clock, Serena stood at the viewing platform. She had heard this was the best spot to watch the sunrise.
She had never seen one before. With such a rare chance to witness the slow transformation of nature, she stood quietly, gazing toward the distant horizon.
One by one, people began waking up and drifting in this direction.
Sebastian walked over at an unhurried pace and stopped beside Serena, standing shoulder to shoulder with her.

A crisp shutter sound came from behind them.
Sebastian turned around, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. The employee from the administrative department nearly felt his heart jump into his throat.
“Sorry, Mr. Levine! I’ll delete it right away. The scene just looked really harmonious and beautiful, so I snapped a quick shot to practice.”
Sebastian stepped closer and took the DSLR camera the man handed over.
“Hm. Nice shot.”
Receiving praise from his boss, the employee finally let out a small sigh of relief.
“Send it to me,” Sebastian added calmly. “I won’t dock your pay this time.”
The employee was speechless.
Serena had no idea this little incident had happened.

Sebastian was very pleased with the photo once he received it. He immediately set it as his phone’s lock
chat. screen and shared it in the group
He even specifically messaged Julian.
“Go check the group chat.”
Julian had muted the chat–copying Sebastian’s own habit.
Sebastian couldn’t miss any chance to show off his affection. After all, everyone deserved an equal opportunity to witness his love for his wife, didn’t they?
Julian had slept only three hours last night.
In the middle of the night, Lucinda had a stomachache. After calling the doctor, they were told it was normal.
The final stage of pregnancy was truly exhausting. Julian wished he could suffer through it in his wife’s place.
Every pregnancy was different, and everyone experienced it differently.
Unfortunately, Lucinda was one of the less tolerant cases.
Julian yawned and was about to take a quick nap on the couch when he saw Sebastian’s message.
“Sebastian, which group chat? I’ll check it after I wake up.”
“Look now! You must look! If you don’t, you’ll never have a daughter.”
D*mn it.
Julian cursed under his breath. His wife was due next week, and this guy was actually jinxing him with a
son.
Infuriating.
But Julian also had an unfortunate fear of tempting fate.
When he finally opened the group chat, he wished he could go blind.
Both Julian and Connor were speechless.
“Elijah has left the group.”
Sebastian clicked his tongue.
“Who added Elijah? Why is his mental resilience so weak? How is he supposed to get a wife like this?”
If Elijah saw that message, he’d probably spit in Sebastian’s direction twice.
