Chapter 69 A Real Show
Since morning, Serena’s phone had been unreadable again.
Each family was busy hosting their own guests, and to ow
Veryone was waiting for Serm up finally,
As the clock crept closer to II a.m., Nathan and Bonald started ushering people to take their
seats.
Nathan leaned in and asked quietly, “Trevor, what’s going on? Where’s your wife?
Donald looked just as stressed, “Kyana, call Serena again. I need you to find her, no matter what.”
Trevor felt a sudden surge of irritation for no apparent reason. What’s she thinking? She already said she’d come–there’s no way she’s just going to bail, right?
His expression went icy the moment the thought crossed his mind.
Amber, on the other hand, stayed completely calm in her seat, a faint smile playing at the corners of her lips. Looks like Serena isn’t that unfilial after all. I called the hospital this morning and found out she’s been there. Sure enough, her weak spot has been prominent all these years.

Outside the wedding, Sebastian sat in the car, eyes calm and steady.
‘Uncle Sebastian, are you not going in today?‘
He just let his gaze drop, those black eyes sharp enough to send a chill, staring down at his phone screen.

“What’s going on today? I haven’t even seen the bride?
“Who knows. But I heard Ms. Steele of the Steeles has always been glued to Mr. Trevor’s side. She can’t be skipping out on the wedding today, right?
In everyone’s mind, the idea of Serena running off like that was basically impossible.
“She’s here! Look! That black dress–is that Serena?”
Instantly, all eyes locked on the ladder slowly descending from the main stage.
Serena appeared in a dark green velvet gown. Her long hair was pinned up high. She wore only a single pearl necklace around her collarbone, and her shoulders were wrapped in white bandages.
“What is this look? I’ve never seen a bride like this!”
“Tsk, can’t be. I heard Ms. Steele lost her mother when she was three. Even if she grew up without guidance, this is still rude”
“Heh, this wedding’s turning into a real show today!”
Trevor saw the woman who’d been gone for what felt like forever, plus her outfit, and his expression went completely dark. He rushed onto the stage, lowering his voice to scold.
