Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 13

Obsidian Estate was vast. Besides the central garden, Northwing Court, there were eight smaller gardens. Bianca's residence, Echostone House, was some distance from Northwing Court, a fifteen-minute walk even by the covered bridge shortcut.

In the height of the midsummer heat, the bridge was draped in flowering Wisteria, its purple blossoms swaying in the breeze like shy, playful maidens.

Vivienne walked alone through the covered walkway, her mind still racing.

It was human nature to choose the lesser of two evils and the greater of two benefits. Serena was definitely involved in something.

But she couldn't yet pinpoint where the problem lay.

The culprit had to be someone who could command the staff of Obsidian Estate and catch her grandfather completely off guard. Considering the time and their ages, many in the Ravenshire family could have pulled it off, but definitely not Serena. Given her status, she wasn't even qualified to enter Northwing Court freely.

So, the most likely scenario was that even if Serena was involved, she was at most a minor, insignificant player. The real mastermind was still hiding in the shadows.

This was going to be difficult. She was so young now, and her opponent was so powerful. How was she supposed to break through this?

Lost in heavy thought, Vivienne arrived at Echostone House. When she looked up and saw the plaque above the courtyard gate, she stopped abruptly, a strange light flashing in her eyes.

That's right! Talia!

Assuming the entire Ravenshire family was somehow complicit in her grandfather’s death, there was one person who was definitely not on the list of suspects: Talia.

That was because the youngest daughter of the Ravenshire family was fated to die an untimely death in three years.

Vivienne tilted her head slightly, her gaze lingering on the words 'Echostone House' on the plaque.

Talia was the precious youngest daughter of Obsidian Estate and her grandfather’s favorite child. Her grandfather had always said that the Ravenshires' guns should never be aimed at their own. Since she was certain Talia wasn’t her grandfather's murderer, she had to find a way to mend their relationship. Talia might even become an ally, which would be a great help in saving her grandfather in the future.

Having made up her mind, Vivienne clasped her hands behind her back and nonchalantly stepped over the threshold.

Vivienne replied, “I know. I’m going to see exactly what kind of tantrum she's throwing.”

Marissa was left speechless. This Miss Lexton was a real glutton for drama. She opened her mouth to persuade her further, but a colleague beside her quickly pulled her back, shooting her a warning look.

Vivienne glanced coldly at the other housekeeper. “What’s with the look?”

The housekeeper fell silent.

Done with them, Vivienne turned and entered the mansion.

Marissa wanted to follow but was held back again by her colleague. “Can’t you see what a nasty personality that girl has? Why bother with her? If something happens, are you going to get on Ms. Talia’s bad side for her sake?”

They were, after all, just paid employees of the Ravenshire family. It was better to avoid trouble. Marissa understood the logic, sighed softly, and nodded.
