Was that true?
Vivienne didn't respond for a long time.
Bianca was about to say something else when she spotted Mina Blackthorne and Sophia Everhart walking into the classroom together.
The two girls had been laughing, but the moment Mina saw Vivienne, her smile vanished. She let out a cold scoff and whipped her head away, pretending not to see them.
"Look at that attitude," Bianca rolled her eyes, throwing an arm around Vivienne's shoulders. "I heard this year's military training is an outdoor survival camp, and all the instructors are elite cadets from the National Defense Academy. The middle school and high school are sharing the same base. It's such a shame you can't go."
Vivienne sounded entirely unenthusiastic. "Yeah, what a tragedy."
Bianca knew she was being sarcastic and didn't push it. Instead, she pulled out the camouflage uniform handed out yesterday. "Come on, come to the locker room with me."
The military buses were scheduled to arrive at ten o'clock, and everyone was required to be fully dressed in their gear beforehand.
Vivienne slouched in her seat, refusing to move, but she couldn't resist Bianca's relentless whining.
"Just come with me! I've always wanted to experience that pure, classic high school friendship where girls go to the bathroom and locker rooms together!"
"..."
Eventually, Vivienne caved. Bianca beamed with excitement, practically vibrating with energy.
Mina shot Sophia a thoughtful look and pulled out her impeccably ironed uniform. "Sophia, I'm going to go change."
Sophia nodded. "Alright. Let's meet up at the courtyard track afterward?"
Mina seemed a bit down. She hummed in agreement and left the classroom with her clothes.
Sophia's smile tightened, and once she was alone, she lowered her head with a bitter laugh.
She waited quite a while until the classroom was mostly empty before grabbing her backpack and heading out.
The school was an elite academy, meaning every floor had its own dedicated locker rooms. But instead of using the one nearby, Sophia went straight down the stairs, bypassed the main building, and headed for the Fine Arts Pavilion.
Since the semester had just started, club activities hadn't officially begun, meaning the locker rooms here were completely deserted.
"Pervert! This is the girls' locker room! What the hell are you doing in here? Are you trying to take pictures of us?"
Their fear instantly morphed into outrage. They both yanked out their phones and started snapping photos of Sophia's face.
"I'm not a pervert," Sophia said, shielding her face with her arms. "I... I'm a..."
The girls refused to listen. One grabbed her arm to stop her from leaving, while the other started calling for backup.
"Hey! Get over here right now! We found a pervert in Locker Room One of the Fine Arts Pavilion. Yeah! He's creeping around, probably trying to hide a camera!"
"..." Seeing the situation spiraling out of control, Sophia lunged, snatched the girl's phone, and hung up. "It's a misunderstanding! I'm a girl too!"
The two students froze, staring at her with extreme suspicion.
The middle school emblem was a sword wrapped in thorny vines, but the high school emblem featured a flaming shield of roses. Both of the girls were wearing the flaming shield, marking them as high school upperclassmen.
Sophia handed the phone back. "I promise." She bent down to retrieve her dropped backpack and pulled out her student ID.
