"If we go, this will never be explained clearly. Hiding it will only lead to the most malicious speculations. It needs to be cleared up right here."
Aurelia's eyelids fluttered, and she looked up at the young girl in front of her.
Howard felt his temples throbbing. This girl was the ultimate troublemaker, specializing in the most unhinged behavior. Just a tiny move from her could turn a mud puddle into a cesspool.
Seeing the crowd growing larger, Howard had to put on a strong front. "Vivienne! That's enough! Are you the teacher here, or am I?"
Vivienne retorted, "Mr. Houghton, I'm thinking of you. You're usually so good at slacking off and dodging trouble. Why are you suddenly acting stupid at a critical moment like this? Take my advice. Just do what you always do, pretend to be busy, and go back to wherever you came from."
What kind of thing was that to say?
Howard felt like he had just been slapped in the face twice in public. Just as he was about to scold her, Vivienne's tone turned noticeably colder.
"Otherwise, the Ravenshire family will teach you the true meaning of regret."
Howard's expression shifted. Vivienne's track record was well-documented, and she had never lost. She was definitely not someone to mess with.
He coughed unnaturally. "Then how do you want to handle this?"
Julianne was shocked. Was he crazy?! What kind of teacher asks a student what to do?
Vivienne's face softened significantly. She turned to Mina. "Miss Blackthorne, would you mind explaining to everyone how you got this report?"
Mina felt conflicted. She hesitated for a moment, then took a step forward, holding the medical report high.
"That's right, this report is indeed mine, but! I don't have a mental illness. This is an evaluation report written by a psychologist named Dr. Sherman from the psychiatry department at Crown Hospital. He deliberately forged my medical records to try and climb the social ladder through the Blackthorne family. Fortunately, my grandfather caught on in time and wasn't fooled. I'm telling the truth. Anyone who doesn't believe it can investigate it themselves."
The crowd processed this and immediately looked at the two reports on the ground. The attending physician was indeed Dr. Sherman.
Mina's explanation was logical, and she even brought up the Blackthorne family's patriarch. For a moment, half the crowd believed her.
