Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 433

The atmosphere sank into dead silence for a few seconds before Evelyn suddenly erupted. She burst into tears, her voice shrill. "Dad, it's not that I want to cause a scene! It's because Benedict is driving Lara to her grave! He owes us an explanation today, or Charles and I will not let this go!"

As she spoke, she tugged at Charles's sleeve.

Charles stood up, his expression grim. "Caspian, Lara is my only daughter. I've cherished her since the day she was born. Even if she made a mistake, she shouldn't have been dangled from a chopper by her own uncle. Am I wrong?"

"He's absolutely right," Leander chimed in. "Let the kids sort out their own arguments. Benedict directly deployed the Chamber operatives to surround the school and injured the teachers. Isn't that a massive overreaction? What will the public think of the Ravenshires?"

Dorian took a tactical sip of his tea, withholding his opinion.

Caspian remained noncommittal. He turned to the side. "Benedict, speak."

Benedict was a tough man. Keeping his bruised and bleeding back perfectly straight, his voice rang out firmly. "I did nothing wrong! And I'll leave my words right here—Aurelia is my only daughter. If anyone dares to bully her again, I'll wipe their bloodline off the map!"

Charles's eyes widened in shock. He hadn't expected the usually easygoing Benedict to be so arrogant. They had just warned that the Arlington family wouldn't let things go, and Benedict had straight up threatened to decimate their entire family.

Smash! Evelyn couldn't tolerate such arrogance. She slammed the table and pointed at Benedict, cursing, "What right do you have to say that?! If you hadn't been so blind back then, Dad would have almost lost his life! Have you ever done right by us?"

Benedict clenched his fists. This was the one thing in his life he would forever feel guilty about toward his father.

Aurelia couldn't bear to watch Benedict endure the blame alone. She quietly slipped her hand into his.

The warmth from her palm seeped straight into his heart. Benedict's eyes glistened with unshed tears as he squeezed her hand back tightly.
