Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 444

Alaric walked straight toward the floral trellis, his cold gaze shifting between Julian and Vivienne.

Marissa was the first to react. Overflowing with righteous indignation, she pointed a trembling finger at Julian. "Mr. Alaric, thank goodness you're here. Mr. Julian is bullying my young lady!"

Vivienne's eyes darted around. She instantly ducked behind Alaric's broad back. "Alaric, Julian is trying to beat me up just because I kicked him yesterday."

Julian had always despised Alaric, and the two never saw eye to eye. Right now, her only play was to use Alaric to drive Julian away. Once Julian cooled down, she could figure out a way to cover up the whole male model scandal.

Vivienne had never been this physically affectionate or reliant on him. Alaric hesitated for a fraction of a second before taking a protective step forward, effectively shielding her.

He turned to reprimand Julian. "Look how old you are, and you're still throwing tantrums with her? Can't you resolve things with a conversation?"

Vivienne flashed a wicked grin, safely tucked away behind Alaric.

"There is no resolving this with a conversation." Julian rested the wooden ruler against his shoulder, scooped up the thick stack of bank statements from the table, and shoved them at Alaric. "Here. You're the responsible one. You deal with this!"

"?"

Vivienne's triumphant smile instantly shattered. Wait, no! Why wasn't Julian following the script? Didn't he hate Alaric more than anyone?!

Realizing the danger, she lunged forward, desperately trying to snatch the papers back. But Julian had anticipated her move and yanked the documents out of reach the moment she moved.

"..."

Alaric glanced back at Vivienne before calmly taking the files from Julian's hand.

Vivienne slowly turned around, preparing to make a run for it.

Alaric was entirely different from Julian. He was a rigid, traditional moral crusader. When Julian got angry, he'd just smack her with a ruler. If Alaric got genuinely furious, he was fully capable of throwing her into a river for staining the family's honor. Even worse, Alaric was the second-largest financial sponsor of her informant network.

The moment she shifted her weight, Wesley stepped into her path like a brick wall, entirely cutting off her escape.

Alaric quickly scanned the documents. He casually tossed the stack back onto the table, then turned to face Vivienne.

"Sit."

His tone was terrifyingly calm. It was impossible to read his emotions.

As the saying went, when you had enough debt, you stopped worrying about the collectors. Since her cover was completely blown, Vivienne figured she had nothing left to fear. She marched back to her seat, sitting down with a heavy, dramatic sigh. "Everyone has secrets they can't easily share with the world. I simply made a mistake that any normal teenage girl would make. Is it truly unforgivable?"

Alaric ignored her entirely, turning his attention to Julian. "A wooden ruler isn't appropriate for this. Use a rolled-up newspaper."

Julian hesitated for a moment before tossing the ruler aside and grabbing a thick magazine to roll up. It wasn't that he actually wanted to take orders from Alaric, but he was genuinely terrified that his rage might cause him to accidentally beat the little menace to death.

"What are you two planning?"

Vivienne gripped the armrests of her chair tightly. Even though she was confident these two idiots wouldn't actually hurt her, she really didn't want to get smacked for no reason.

Fearing things were about to escalate, Marissa stepped forward to intervene. Alaric shot Wesley a look. Wesley smoothly slid his sunglasses back on, grabbed Marissa by the arm, and firmly escorted her out of the courtyard.

The moment the heavy gates clicked shut, Marissa's mind raced through every horrible scenario. Were they going to murder her and hide the body?!

Her face ghostly pale, she sprinted toward the outer estate in pure panic.

Coincidentally, Cyril had just finished getting his bandages changed and was leaving Blackbriar Wing. Without a second thought, Marissa threw herself into the path of his wheelchair.

"Mr. Cyril, please! You have to save my young lady!"

Cyril gripped the wheels, stopping his chair. He glanced toward Vellmont Lodge. He knew exactly who Marissa was, which meant he knew exactly which 'young lady' she was talking about.

Marissa pointed frantically toward the courtyard. "Mr. Julian and Mr. Alaric have gone crazy! I think they're trying to beat her to death!"
