Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 474

Echostone House.

Bianca rubbed her tired eyes and pushed open her bedroom door.

"Mom."

Talia Ravenshire was in the middle of a phone call in the Main Hall. Seeing her daughter waiting by the door, she quickly hung up.

"What is it, sweetheart?"

Bianca jogged into the room and handed her mother a portable hard drive.

"Mom, I ran a detailed comparison. The women in these photos are all different people. Some of the images were just ripped from shady websites. None of them are Lara. Can you help clear her name?"

Talia looked genuinely surprised. "Bianca, you want to help Lara?"

Bianca shook her head. "I'm not doing this for her. I'm doing it for us. Mom, someone is deliberately framing her. Their real target isn't just Lara—it's the Arlington family. Or maybe even us."

Bianca had shot up in the last three years and was now nearly as tall as Talia. For the first time, Talia truly realized that her daughter was growing into a formidable young woman.

She didn't hide the truth. "The Arlingtons have been rapidly expanding to monopolize the Gold Hill territory. They've launched hundreds of new shell companies to support the bid. The moment Lara's scandal broke, public trust in their corporation shattered, and their stocks went into freefall. If this continues, they'll be forced to surrender their operational rights just to cover the financial hemorrhage."

Under Theodore Marsh's tutelage, Bianca had learned the ruthless art of corporate warfare. It only took a few sentences for her to decipher the hidden motives.

Someone was making a play for the Gold Hill development, using Lara as collateral damage to destroy the Arlington empire.

Bianca furrowed her brow, her expression turning grave. "If that's the case, we definitely can't sit on the sidelines.

"We have ties to the Arlington family through marriage. Logically, we should step in. But if we intervene directly, we risk drawing the fire onto ourselves and damaging our own reputation. However, if we do nothing, we're abandoning an ally. Sacrificing the Arlingtons is easy, but explaining that betrayal to our other partners won't be. If we lose our credibility, no one will ever stand by us again."

Talia gently stroked Bianca's cheek. "Exactly right. But handling this won't be difficult."

Bianca's eyes lit up. "Do you have a plan?"

"I might despise Leander's stupidity, but no outsider gets to humiliate our family. Your uncles will handle the heavy lifting and uncover the truth. I'll just be pulling a few minor strings."
