Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 476

The front courtyard of the Blackbriar Wing was lush and overgrown. Moonlight filtered through the dense bamboo canopy, casting fractured, shifting shadows across the ground that felt almost otherworldly.

Lennox was busy loosening the soil with a gardening hoe.

Vivienne watched him for a second before strolling over. "Planting some vegetables, Lennox?"

Lennox straightened up, smiling as he held up a small green sprout. "You're joking, Miss Lexton. These are flower seedlings. Mr. Cyril's balcony is completely full, so I figured I'd clear out a patch down here for him."

"Is that so?" She glanced up toward the second-floor balcony.

Cyril's bedroom was part of a standalone villa. Vines of blooming flowers spilled over the balcony railings, creeping down the stonework. It was peak autumn, and the vibrant blooms were cascading in a spectacular display of colors.

She had originally assumed the manipulative little schemer only pretended to care about gardening to win favor with the family patriarch. She never expected him to actually possess a green thumb.

She began to doubt her own memories. Did Cyril garden in her past life? Absolutely not. The only thing he "cultivated" was a harem of wealthy socialites all desperately vying for his attention.

Still skeptical, she pressed, "You're saying Cyril planted all those flowers on the balcony himself?"

Lennox nodded earnestly. "Mr. Cyril is a very gentle soul. He isn't fond of socializing, so he prefers the quiet company of his plants."

"Really?" She gave the butler a dubious look. "It sounds like you don't actually know your boss that well."

Lennox looked slightly offended. "I've served him for three years. Who could possibly know him better than I do?"

"Is that a fact? Let's test that theory." Vivienne crossed her arms, feigning nonchalance. "What does your beloved boss like to do in his spare time?"

"He rarely has free time," Lennox replied dutifully. "But when he does, he simply reads and tends to his garden."

"Busy? Doing what?"

Lennox paused to think. "He is incredibly devoted to his family. Whenever he has a moment, he visits Mrs. Ravenshire."

The man was an absolute artist with his words. Victoria Montclair had made Cyril's life a living hell, yet Lennox managed to spin it into a heartwarming tale of a loving mother and her devoted son.

Vivienne saw through the lie but decided not to call him out directly. "His stepmother is awful. He must hate her, right? Because I definitely do."

Lennox shook his head. "Mr. Cyril has a pure heart. He treats everyone with kindness."
