Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 56

Cyril smiled, cradling the seedling as he left Northwing Court.

Around noon, Serena came by specifically to say goodbye. Vivienne was taking a nap, and besides, she had already laid her cards on the table with Serena, so there was nothing left to say. She had the housekeeper send her away. Later, the housekeeper reported that Isabella was supposedly heartbroken, having cried her eyes out because she couldn't bear to be apart from her older sister.

Vivienne didn't bother to expose the lie. Her conniving little sister wasn't upset about her; she was upset about losing the Ravenshire family's lavish lifestyle.

To provide for them, their grandfather had specially enrolled Isabella in the honors class at Evershade City's most prestigious elementary school. Getting into that class wasn't just about grades; family background was the most important factor. And her little sister was far more capable than her, leveraging the Ravenshire name to become incredibly popular at school.

She remembered that Isabella had done quite well on her middle school entrance exams and was set to go directly to St. Marwen Middle School. If her classmates found out she'd been kicked out of the Ravenshire family, those rich kids would probably stop hanging out with her.

That evening, Caspian returned just in time for dinner. Vivienne had been waiting all day and finally saw him, chirping like a sparrow as she bounded up to him. "Grandpa, we're having Cornish Pasty today!"

Before Caspian could answer, Cedric stepped forward to block Vivienne, crouching down and explaining in a gentle voice, "Miss Lexton, the master is a bit tired today. How about I join you for dinner?"

Vivienne sensed something strange in the air and peered around him at Caspian.

The old man was backlit by the moonlight, his expression unreadable. For some reason, she felt that his entire presence had changed after being out for the day.

"Hey! Don't be so meddlesome." Caspian nudged Cedric aside with his cane and walked forward slowly. As the light shifted, it revealed his kind and benevolent face. "Perfect, Grandpa's hungry too. You go on to the dining room and wait. I'll go change my clothes. No sneaking bites, you hear?"

Vivienne glanced at Cedric out of the corner of her eye and nodded. "Oh, okay." With that, she skipped off to the dining room.

Caspian's smile faded. He turned and ordered Cedric, "Go change your clothes. Don't frighten the child."

Jasper?!

Vivienne's eyes widened. How could she have forgotten about him?!

Jasper had always been in charge of security at Northwing Court. Though he had a peculiar personality, the old man trusted him completely.

In her past life, on the night her grandfather was poisoned, Jasper had also mysteriously disappeared. Afterward, Alaric had used all his resources but failed to find him. Because he was never found, many theories circulated, but the Ravenshire family tended to believe that he had betrayed the old man.

Her grandfather saw a sudden spark in her eyes and, assuming she was just eager to have fun, shook his head. "Let's wait a few days. If you're really bored in the meantime, we can go camping by the mountain stream. I'll have someone prepare everything for you."

In the past, Vivienne wouldn't have understood the hidden meaning, but now things were different. She clearly heard the implication in his words. *In a few days.* Did that mean something major was about to happen?
