Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 561

"In charge of my safety?" Vivienne's expression was a complicated mix of disbelief and annoyance.

Since when did Alaric Ravenshire change his entire personality? He used to be so cold and ruthless, but now he was suddenly playing the caring protector?

She didn't buy it for a second. Waving a hand dismissively, she said, "No need. You can go back. I want to walk around a bit more."

Wesley Crain casually scanned the area. In just one glance, he spotted at least three men covertly staring at Vivienne, plus a creepy, overweight guy trying to sneak a picture on his phone.

After a brief silence, Wesley replied respectfully, "Please wait a moment, Miss Lexton. I need to ask the boss."

Without giving her a chance to argue, Wesley turned back to the car and dialed Alaric's number.

"Boss, Miss Lexton is out here attracting a swarm of creeps, and she won't let me follow her."

A moment later, Wesley stepped out of the car and handed the phone over. "Miss Lexton, it's for you."

"..." Vivienne reluctantly took it. "Hello?"

"Wesley stays with you," Alaric's voice came through the receiver, clipped and firm.

Vivienne bristled. "I don't like being watched."

"It's not surveillance. If you don't like Wesley, I can send someone else, but someone has to stay with you."

She hated Alaric's uncompromising, dictatorial tone more than anything. "Must, must, everything is a must! I told you I don't like it, yet it's still a must. If you care about my safety so much, why don't you come keep an eye on me yourself?"

Alaric froze, but before he could process her words, she had already hung up.

Vivienne glared sideways at Wesley. He offered a cautious smile. "Should I ask the boss to come down instead?"

Useless boss. He always caused trouble and left others to clean up his mess.

"Don't follow me," Vivienne snapped, tossing the phone back at him before turning and striding toward the opposite side of the street.

Lately, she had been deliberately provoking Julianne Whitmore, hoping to push the girl into triggering the storyline where she hired thugs to attack her. If Wesley hovered around her twenty-four-seven, how would Julianne ever find the right moment to strike?

West Lynn Parish.

Inside the grand church, Mira Easton clung affectionately to Isolde Blackthorne's arm. "Isolde, you're amazing! I've never seen Father Hemlock admire anyone this much. Are you really not going to consider joining? It's a rare opportunity. With his guidance, you could genuinely become a top disciple."

Isolde glanced nervously at the devout congregation around them and lowered her voice. "Mira, you know I'm really not interested in the church."
