Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 596

"Mr. Cyril."

"Look into what Vincent Montclair is doing right now."

He hung up. Two minutes later, Moira called back.

"Sir, I am so sorry. This is my failure. They put steel needles in your food. Vincent Montclair is acting like a cornered dog, trying to use these despicable methods to intimidate you. Sir, would you like me to report this to Mr. Ravenshire?"

Cyril dropped the entire bag of food into the trash can, cutting her off. "Ms. Nash, your time off is over. I need you to come over right now..."

"Cyril!!! Are you cooking noodles in there?"

Cyril lowered his voice. "Ms. Nash, remember to buy noodles."

He hung up the phone and walked out of the kitchen acting completely normal. "The food spilled."

"Huh?" Vivienne put down her files. "Then what are we going to eat?"

Cyril glanced back at the kitchen. "How about I boil you an egg first?"

"..." Vivienne rubbed her stomach, sounding utterly defeated. "Fine, but hurry up."

Cyril returned to the kitchen and stared at the stove for a while. With practiced movements, he grabbed a pot, filled it with water, and placed it on the burner...

But as he reached to ignite the flame, his movements slowed. His fingers pressed against the knob of the gas stove, turning it inch by inch.

"Whoosh—"

The flame erupted, its bright orange glow reflecting in his dark, bottomless eyes.

"Cyril, run! Run! Don't worry about me, just run!"

Through the roaring flames, a figure dropped to her knees, screaming hoarsely. "I was wrong! It was all my fault! Please don't hurt my child, I'm begging you, let him go! He's innocent!"

Meanwhile, in the living room, Vivienne waited for a long time without hearing any noise from the kitchen. It started to feel strange.

"Cyril?"

She stood up, about to check on him, when Cyril suddenly walked out.

Moira froze. "Mr. Cyril?"

Vivienne looked up, feigning confusion. "What's wrong? Why such a big reaction?"

Moira laughed awkwardly. "It's nothing, just a little surprising. Mr. Cyril usually avoids using open flames."

Vivienne's eyes flickered. She took a quiet bite of the perfectly peeled egg. "Is that so?"

Unwilling to say more, Moira grabbed the bags and headed to the kitchen. Vivienne suddenly remembered something and called after her, "Do you normally cook for Cyril?"

"Sir prefers to keep his personal and professional life separate, so he usually just orders delivery."

Vivienne swallowed her bite of egg and stood up, walking into the kitchen.

The moment she stepped inside, she saw the shattered raw eggs on the floor below the fridge, and the perfectly intact takeout containers resting in the trash can.

"..."
