Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 637

Solenforth.

A royal banquet was in full swing, glittering with jewels, high fashion, and endless toasts.

Caspian sat in the seat of honor, personally accompanied by Queen Julia Beaufort. The royalty and elite of Solenforth took turns approaching him to pay their respects. As the Chief Diplomat, Graham's son Zachary Everhart could only sit lower down the table, maintaining a polite, diplomatic smile.

Julian Ravenshire stood directly behind Caspian, dressed in a sharp black suit. The young man's untamed aura drew frequent, lingering glances from the young women scattered across the banquet hall.

Between the state visits and endless formal dinners, Julian was bored entirely out of his mind.

Suddenly, the phone in his inner pocket buzzed. He pulled it out, glanced at the screen, and his eyes froze.

Julian turned to Caspian, hesitating for a fraction of a second before setting down his champagne. He leaned in and whispered in a remarkably low voice, "Grandpa, Vivi is calling."

Caspian stood up, offered a polite nod to Queen Julia, and strode toward the private guest parlor.

Zachary was seated nearby. Although he hadn't heard what Julian whispered, he knew that whatever was important enough to make Caspian abandon the Queen had to be colossal.

Naturally, his mind immediately jumped to the escalating war between the Blackthornes and the Whitmores.

Just yesterday, the Everhart family had sent word that the conflict would be resolved soon, instructing him to keep a close eye on Caspian.

Was the Ravenshire family finally making their move?

Zachary kept his father's orders in mind, suspicion rising rapidly in his chest.

The VIP parlor was heavily restricted. Before Caspian stepped inside, Cedric thoroughly swept the area. Confirming it was secure, he stood guard outside the doors.

"Vivi? Did you miss Grandpa?" Caspian's face, usually set in stern lines, instantly softened, his voice carrying a light, affectionate tone the moment the call connected.

Vivienne said something on the other end, and Caspian obligingly widened his eyes. "How bold? Let Grandpa hear it."

Before the sun even rose, the Blackthorne estate was completely surrounded by journalists and furious protesters. When Sterling attempted to leave, his security detail clashed violently with the mob. The crowd rioted, nearly flipping his car, forcing Sterling to retreat back inside the gates.

Under the guise of demanding justice for Mina, the protesters ordered the family to hand her over. The media gleefully spun the clash as a battle between corrupt authority and the righteous will of the people. In a matter of hours, the Blackthornes' public credibility hit absolute rock bottom.

By afternoon, the Supreme Prosecutor's Office in Stormhollow responded to the public outcry, announcing they were officially launching an investigation into Sterling's conduct during his term. The results would be published once evidence collection was complete.

The Prosecutor's Office operated directly under the State Council. For a subordinate department to publicly fire the first shot at their superior meant Sterling had truly capsized in the political rapids.

Inside the tea room, father and son stared at each other. Even at the brink of destruction, Edmund remained remarkably calm. "Well? Still no response from the Ravenshires?"

Sterling shook his head. "We've been sending messages to Mr. Ravenshire's people, but the only reply we get is that he is unavailable. Dad, the prosecutors are already moving against me. The Whitmores must have pulled the Everharts in. If Caspian is staying silent now, he clearly doesn't plan to intervene."

Edmund thought for a moment, a flash of absolute resolve crossing his eyes. "I'll call him myself."
