Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 663

Unable to accept that twisted reality, Honoria had stolen a colleague's gun from the precinct, fully intending to execute the killer herself. If she hadn't been stopped at the last second, she would have gladly become a superhero for her daughter, too.

The prosecution team was rendered completely speechless, frantically exchanging panicked glances.

Suddenly, one of the prosecutors felt his phone buzz. He glanced down, his eyes widening in shock, and immediately shoved the screen toward the lead prosecutor.

"Your Honor! The prosecution has just received verified new evidence. We request the court's immediate review."

"What's going on? More evidence?" The sudden twist sent ripples of whispers through the gallery.

A clerk brought the new documents forward. Judge Gresham examined them carefully, her face betraying no emotion, before passing them to the jury.

The lead prosecutor finally reclaimed a sliver of confidence. "The prosecution has contacted the military. It has been confirmed that the weapon in the defendant's possession... is not the Golden Gun awarded to General Ravenshire! The defendant committed perjury!"

"What? How is that possible?"

"Order!"

The commotion in the gallery grew louder, forcing Judge Gresham to bang her gavel.

"This is the serial number of the Golden Gun awarded to General Ravenshire twenty years ago," the prosecutor declared triumphantly. "But the weapon the defendant used is a newer model. Both the make and the serial number do not match the military registry. This proves the defendant lied to the court!"

The murder angle had hit a dead end, but the gun charge had miraculously come back to life. The prosecution team exhaled in relief. They had exhausted tremendous resources on this case; losing would have utterly humiliated both the prosecution and the government.

Judge Gresham looked at Vivienne. "Does the defense have an explanation?"

Vivienne smiled softly. "My apologies, I should have been clearer. There are four Golden Gun Generals. But... the gun I stole didn't belong to my grandfather. I stole it from Uncle Sebastian."

The moment the words left her mouth, both Talia and Alaric's lips curved into identical smirks.

Meanwhile, outside the courthouse.

Coincidentally, Vivienne hadn't known any of this when she stole his guns. She grabbed one real one and one fake one. Since she never fired the modified replica after the initial headshots, the whole thing became a perfect legal loophole.

It completely absolved her of the weapons charge.

Watching her spin facts and manipulate the narrative flawlessly, the prosecutor couldn't help but think it was a tragedy she wasn't a defense attorney.

The chess match had reached its end. The board was clear.

Judge Gresham called a temporary recess to deliberate the final verdict.

Escorted by the bailiffs, Vivienne left the courtroom. Gone was the exhausted, terrified girl who had walked in. She marched out with her head held high, a brilliant, triumphant smile on her lips, looking every bit like the superhero she claimed to be.
