Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 666

"After careful review by this court, despite the numerous charges presented by the prosecution, the current evidence contains severe loopholes and inconsistencies. Regarding the key physical evidence, the chain of custody is unclear, lacking valid extraction records, and failing to conclusively link to the defendant. Based on the principle of presumption of innocence, the law must rely on concrete evidence to determine guilt. The evidence presented today fails to form a complete and air-tight chain, insufficient to prove the defendant committed the alleged crimes. Therefore, this court finds the defendant not guilty and orders her immediate release."

"Miss Lexton, you may go home."

Mr. Caine took off his glasses, letting out a long sigh of relief.

The law was never entirely devoid of human empathy. If Vivienne's self-preservation had moved the judge and jury to compassion, then the patriarch's stance was the anchor that decided the tide.

On the surface, this battle was about convicting Vivienne. In reality, it was a coordinated suppression of the Ravenshire family by the government and multiple factions. Thus, the attitude of the Ravenshire patriarch was critical.

Caspian Ravenshire hadn't meddled in politics for years. Even his trip to Solenforth was only due to Queen Julia Beaufort's persistent invitations.

Since the second year of the cold war, Athelvia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs had tried desperately to push The Twenty-One Point Accord on Bilateral Relations, but the Queen had remained resolute, preferring conflict over reconciliation.

Initially, Caspian's visit was just meant to provide closure for Balthazar Beaufort's death. Unexpectedly, the retired patriarch secured a century-defining treaty right out of the gate.

With such a monumental achievement, even if Vivienne had actually committed murder, the highest levels of government would have gladly done the Ravenshire family a favor. And now that she had successfully defended herself to turn the tide, all opposing factions knew the game was over. Going against the Ravenshires at this juncture was tantamount to a death wish. Cutting losses was every decision-maker's mandatory lesson.

In the courtroom, save for the prosecution's grim faces, everyone erupted in cheers.

Judge Gresham stepped down from the bench, her expression tender. "Congratulations, child."

Vivienne returned the smile. "Thank you for your grace."

Judge Gresham turned to the gallery, looking at Talia. "Thank your mother."

Vivienne looked up, her gaze following the judge's.

Vivienne looked up, her gaze sweeping over everyone. "I wasn't alone. You were all right here with me, weren't you?"

*

"Vivienne!!! Vivienne!!!"

The courthouse steps were a sea of people. Girls holding flowers formed human barricades, screaming the name of their superhero in feverish excitement.

Vivienne never imagined that the day she went from being universally despised to being showered with flowers and adoration would actually come.

Seeing Vivienne swallowed by the frantic crowd, Cyril and Alaric instinctively reached out for her. The scene was absolute chaos, the girls completely unhinged. Afraid of catching stray hands in inappropriate places, the two young men turned their gazes toward Lennox and Wesley.
