Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 755

"I'll take that," Caspian said, taking the bowl of oatmeal from Marissa. Marissa immediately stepped aside with a knowing nod, glanced toward the door, and quietly slipped out of the room.

Caspian sat on the edge of the bed and scooped up a spoonful of the warm oatmeal. "You just woke up, so start with something easy on the stomach," he said gently. "In a few days, I'll have Marissa make whatever you want."

Vivienne studied Caspian's face closely. She swallowed a large mouthful of oatmeal, her eyes shifting around nervously. "Grandpa, those three... you didn't beat them to death, did you?"

The silver spoon clinked sharply against the side of the bowl.

Caspian looked up, catching a glint of mischievous schadenfreude in her striking eyes. He paused, taken aback. "Vivi, were you involved in their mess too?"

Vivienne thought for a moment, nodded, and then shook her head.

"At first, I didn't know what Alaric and the others were planning. Later, I ran into Cyril while I was escaping, and he told me everything."

"You ran into Cyril, so why didn't he..." Caspian's expression darkened as realization set in. "You sacrificed yourself for him."

"I'm not as noble as you think," she replied. "I just know that if the nest is overturned, no egg stays intact. So many great families have fallen because of internal warfare. You value them so much, Grandpa. You trained them to be the sharpest spears and strongest shields of the Ravenshire family. I couldn't just stand by and watch them destroy each other."

In her past life, that was exactly what happened. Alaric had slowly distanced himself from his grandfather out of resentment over an arranged marriage. Cyril had been exiled from the country after committing a grave crime. Julian, furious that Alaric was the sole heir, chose to cut ties with the family altogether. Bianca had drifted away, Aurelia had jumped from a building, and the once-vibrant Obsidian Estate had suddenly withered into a desolate wasteland.

In the end, Grandpa had been trapped in his own bedroom and poisoned.

Whenever she thought about it, a suffocating wave of despair washed over her, making her want to tear the Gate of Narrative apart with her bare hands.

Caspian studied the depths of Vivienne's eyes, falling into a thoughtful silence before scooping up another spoonful of oatmeal. Vivienne glanced at him and obediently opened her mouth to eat.
