Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 768

Catching Cyril's gaze, Lennox's eyes shifted nervously as he whispered, "Mr. Ravenshire has been waiting for you here all night."

Congress was incredibly demanding. Dorian didn't have the time to just sit around waiting, which meant he was genuinely terrified.

Cyril's lips twitched in a faint smirk as he stepped slowly into Blackbriar Wing.

Hearing the commotion outside, Moira rushed out to check. Seeing Cyril standing at the entrance, she offered a deep bow before turning back inside to report.

A moment later, the heavy doors of the Main Hall swung open, and Dorian stepped out himself.

Ever since returning from the resort, Cyril had been sequestered in Northwing Court. After enduring a hundred lashes and kneeling on hard stone for twenty-four hours, even someone as flawless as him looked completely drained.

Dorian hurried over. "How did you let yourself get hurt like this?"

Cyril was about to speak but cast a deliberate glance around the courtyard. Catching the hint, Dorian patted his shoulder, and the two walked into the Main Hall.

Lennox, worried for his boss, tried to follow them in but was swiftly blocked by Moira. Left with no choice, he stood outside the doors, waiting to be called.

Inside, beneath the blinding lights, Cyril's face looked practically translucent.

Dorian poured a glass of warm water and pressed it into his son's hand. "Cyril, what exactly happened last night?"

Even though Dorian tried his best to maintain his composure, his desperate urgency gave away his spiraling panic.

Cyril kept his eyes lowered, his tone unnervingly calm. "Aren't you the one controlling the board, Father? Why are you asking me?"

Dorian froze, staring at him in confusion. "Cyril, what do you mean by that?"
