Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 783

"Sit."

Noticing the flushed redness on the tips of Cyril's ears, Dorian mistakenly assumed his son was still burning with shame and immediately adopted the persona of a compassionate father.

"There's no need to be embarrassed in front of me. As far as I'm concerned, I didn't see a thing today."

Cyril, "..."

Wolfram Manor.

By the window overlooking the lotus pond, the scent of ink bloomed in the summer heat.

The sunlight filtered through the lattice window, casting golden fragments across Alaric's wrist as he held the brush.

A drop of thick ink gathered at the tip of the goat-hair brush, its trembling shadow falling on the rice paper below.

"Boss."

Wesley Crain sat cross-legged on the window sill, shirtless, loudly munching on an apple. Crunch, crunch, juice flying everywhere.

"Should I get someone to keep an eye on the hospital?"

"No need," Alaric replied, not even lifting his eyelids.

Wesley picked at the scab on his shoulder and tilted his head toward Vellmont Lodge. "Then should we go check on Miss Lexton?"

The brush paused abruptly, a heavy drop of ink splattering right where the stroke should have ended. Alaric slowly raised his eyes, a beam of sunlight catching perfectly on his brow.

"You want to go?"

"I... cough, cough!!" Wesley nearly choked to death on his apple, violently pounding his chest.

Alaric just stared at him, his expression completely blank.

"..." Wesley massaged his throat, forcing the apple down, and wheezed out, "I... want to go."

Alaric set the brush down and methodically began putting away his inkstone. "Put a shirt on."
