Amadis casually rubbed his ear. "Stop screaming at me. If you can't handle it here, pack your bags and get the hell out."
Titania let out a cold scoff. "You think you can force me out? In your dreams!" She snatched the recommendation letter off the floor and stormed toward the front door.
"Ms. Titania, where are you going?"
The moment she stepped out of the Beaufort Residence, the captain of her guard immediately rushed over to escort her.
The brutal beating she took half a month ago had taught Titania a harsh lesson; she no longer underestimated the locals. She refused to go anywhere without her bodyguards.
By now, Titania had completely cooled down, showing none of the explosive rage she had just unleashed on Amadis.
Securing her position in Athelvia was critical for both her and Amadis. If they managed to graduate from the military academy here, they could immediately take high-ranking positions in the military back home.
However, if she returned with a disciplinary record, it would permanently stain her political and military future. The Queen had yet to name an official heir, meaning every royal had a fighting chance. Getting kicked out of the academy meant an early exit from the race for the throne.
Titania wasn't as mindless as she appeared. She knew Amadis was desperate to kick her out of the competition. She had to find a way to stay.
"Commerce Plaza."
She gave the cold order, glancing back at the imposing gates of the residence.
Did he think she hadn't noticed? Amadis and his guards hadn't returned until dawn a few nights ago. He absolutely despised going out in the rain, which meant something massive was happening behind the scenes.
"You want to play dirty with me? Just wait and see."
Back inside, Amadis dropped his fearless, arrogant facade the second Titania was gone. He gritted his teeth and aggressively tapped his phone screen in pure frustration.
Dammit!
He was absolutely certain he hadn't saved those test answers. How the hell did they automatically upload to the academy's server?!
Ever since his perfect scores shattered the academy records, the old men from the military school and the Solenforth Department of Military Affairs had been blowing up his phone, convinced they had unearthed a generational military genius. Annoyed beyond belief, he told them he just guessed.
