Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 786

The Beaufort Residence.

Amadis sat with his legs crossed, looking as if the life had been entirely drained out of him.

"I've already explained this to you a dozen times. I am not some military genius. If I actually had those kinds of skills, would Blake be parading around like an absolute idiot? Oh, wait, do you even know what that means? It means he's making a total fool of himself."

The woman on the other end of the line remained calm and authoritative. "Then how do you explain the test scores?"

Amadis spoke with casual indifference. "I guessed. I've just had really good luck lately. You wouldn't know this, but Athelvia has some crazy psychics. I recently visited one..."

The call abruptly disconnected.

Amadis chuckled, thoroughly unfazed, and lazily lowered his phone.

Titania leaned against the gilded railing on the second floor, having eavesdropped on the entire conversation. She wore a look of pure, unadulterated schadenfreude.

"Looks like someone's getting shipped home early."

Amadis looked up. "I heard you applied to do charity work to restore your moral credits for the Athelvia exchange program?"

Titania instantly went on the defensive. "What's it to you?"

"Nothing." Amadis casually spun his phone between his fingers, his eyes dripping with mockery. "You didn't honestly think you could just throw money at a few poor kids and completely wipe your slate clean, did you?"

"Ms. Titania..." A maid interrupted, walking into the main hall with a letter. "Your mail."

Titania shot Amadis a cautious glare before descending the stairs. The maid respectfully handed her the envelope.

The return address belonged to the Stormhollow Municipal Services Department.
