Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 789

Preston let out a dark chuckle. He barely shifted his gaze, sending a silent signal to the massive enforcer standing nearby.

The man understood instantly. He slipped on a pair of brass knuckles, grabbed Stellan by the collar, and delivered a devastating punch straight into his abdomen.

Stellan's pupils violently contracted. He let out a choked groan and collapsed to the floor.

"Don't test my patience. Your worthless life isn't enough for me to play with."

Stellan clutched his stomach, forcing a painful nod. "Understood."

Preston looked down at him. "The evidence for the murder and body disposal was rock solid, yet you walked free? Whoever owns you clearly has serious power. This care center costs a hundred thousand dollars a year. How does a college student afford that?"

Stellan coughed weakly. "Part-time jobs."

A flicker of twisted amusement crossed Preston's eyes. "Underground fighting? Or murder-for-hire?"

He even knew about the underground fighting rings. This guy was definitely out for blood.

Stellan pulled off his glasses, looking up to meet Preston's piercing gaze. "What exactly do you want to know?"

Preston cut straight to the point. "Who is your boss?"

Stellan frowned. He remained silent for a long moment before slowly shaking his head. "I can't tell you that."

"Clearly, you're not afraid to die," Preston said coldly, turning to leave.

"Wait!" Stellan called out. "If I refuse to talk, I die today. If I do talk, I'm just as dead tomorrow. My life is worthless, and I don't mind losing it. But if there's a chance to secure a real future, I want to live. Give me a chance."

Preston paused. He tilted his head slightly, looking back over his shoulder. "You're asking me for a future?"

"Yes."
