Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 811

Wesley had front-row seats to Alaric's sudden romantic awakening and was just about to follow them when he felt someone watching. He glared defensively toward the gate, only to spot Cyril standing there. Without missing a beat, Wesley jogged over, threw the other half of the courtyard gate wide open, and shot Cyril an incredibly smug grin.

I knew our rookie would level up when the pressure was on!

Lennox hovered anxiously beside Cyril. Seeing Wesley's brazen gloating, he couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for his boss.

"Sir, should we head back?"

Every trace of warmth vanished from Cyril's eyes, leaving behind a chilling, abyssal depth.

In the end, he said nothing, turning on his heel and heading back toward Blackbriar Wing.

Wesley felt the overwhelming triumph of a serf who had just overthrown his landlord. He casually snagged a handful of raisins from the suitcase, leaned against the windowsill, and shamelessly began to eavesdrop.

Meanwhile.

Alaric wasn't nearly as calm as he looked. The moment he scooped Vivienne into his arms, his heart started hammering so wildly it threatened to give out completely.

He rarely felt this flustered, but he couldn't let it show. He forced himself to keep a straight face, staring straight ahead.

Beneath the window overlooking the pond sat a Rosewood Arhat Daybed. As Alaric gently lowered Vivienne onto the cushions, flashes of his highly explicit, intensely intimate dreams slammed into his mind.

Unable to resist, he looked down at the girl in his arms, desperately trying to figure out if the siren from his dreams had finally become a reality.

Just as he looked down, Vivienne glanced up. Sunlight filtered through the mesh screen, catching the sharp planes of their faces, painting them both in a breathtaking, ethereal glow.

Alaric's eyelids fluttered, his almost translucent lashes trembling like a butterfly breaking free from its chrysalis.

"Alaric," Mina called out, completely oblivious to the tension.

Alaric froze for a few seconds before turning his head toward her. The light that had illuminated his eyes shifted, casting sharp shadows across his profile.

From Mina's angle, Alaric had one knee resting on the edge of the daybed, his body leaning over, practically engulfing Vivienne in a completely dominant posture.

"..." Mina offered a goofy smile. "We aren't interrupting anything, are we?"

Alaric's gaze darkened. He didn't let go, his arm still half-wrapped around Vivienne's shoulders, his brow twitching imperceptibly.

"No."

His tone was cold enough to freeze hell over.

"..." Mina wasn't on Alaric's level, and the sheer force of his aura made the hair on the back of her neck stand up.

Vivienne frowned. Going from zero to a hundred in a split second, she grabbed a handful of Alaric's hair and yanked. "If you aren't, then you aren't! Why are you glaring at her?"
