Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 816

The roses bloomed in solitude under the moonlight, their fragrance caught in the swirling night breeze.

Outside the side gate of Vellmont Lodge, Lennox Raynor crouched in a corner near a pile of red bricks, pulling out his pocket watch for the hundred and eighth time.

"It's 3 AM. Why isn't Mr. Cyril out yet? He's been up there for five hours—that's enough time for anything!"

Realizing his thoughts were spiraling into inappropriate territory, Lennox slapped his own mouth.

What was he thinking? Mr. Cyril was leaving for Merriton City soon; he just wanted to say goodbye to Miss Lexton.

Maybe Miss Lexton was struggling with a school project, and Mr. Cyril was tutoring her. Yes, he shouldn't impose his dirty adult mind on the pure romance of youth.

Having convinced himself, Lennox quietly tucked the watch back into his pocket.

A minute later, his brows furrowed again. He cast a doubtful glance at the wooden window on the second floor.

The lights inside had been out for hours. The window shutters creaked back and forth in the wind.

"..."

It was pitch black in there. What kind of tutoring was that?!

Unable to lie to himself any longer, Lennox stared tearfully at the time on his watch.

Another two minutes passed. What exactly was Mr. Cyril doing?!

Creak—

Finally, there was movement at the second-floor window.

A lithe silhouette slipped over the sill, hanging by one hand. Like a coiled spring, he vaulted through the air, kicked off the vertical wall to break his fall, and tumbled onto the grass, rolling a few times before popping up gracefully.

"Sir—" Lennox choked on his own excitement, slapping a hand over his mouth as he hurried over. "Sir, are you okay?" he whispered.
