Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 889

On the last day of September, the Ravenshire family produced two national heroes, completely sending Stormhollow into an absolute frenzy.

The legacy of the golden gun was once again on the lips of the public, and this time, the new generation seemed poised to outshine the old.

Having wrapped up their journey with the 313th Division, Caspian and Alaric began their trip home.

Inside the car.

Caspian's temples throbbed. "What did you just say? You're telling me Cyril took down seven pirates in hand-to-hand combat and dismantled the bomb in the control room?!"

Alaric kept his head down, tracing the edge of the bandages on his arm.

Caspian suppressed his fury. "Did you ask him what the hell he was trying to do? Was the Merriton Fleet short on cannon fodder? Or does he just think he's lived too long?!"

On the other end of the line, Dorian closed his eyes and held the phone away, putting it on speaker. "I asked him. He said he wasn't thinking that much at the time."

"Not a single one of you gives me peace of mind! Bring him back to me first!"

The call ended abruptly.

Dorian put down his phone and looked at Cyril beside him, completely unfazed. "You heard him?"

Cyril nodded. "When is Grandpa returning to Stormhollow?"

Dorian pinched the bridge of his nose. "In about half a day. You should get ready too. There will be a lot of reporters waiting for us when we get back to port. Don't give anyone anything they can use against you."

"Sir," Moira knocked and walked in. "General Murray has arrived."

Before Dorian could say anything, Cyril stood up. "Dad, I'll step out."

The real reason Cyril had suddenly vanished during the Merriton rescue op was because a Vice Admiral in the fleet had given him a secret mission, ordering him to use the torrential rain as cover to infiltrate the ferry and act as an inside man.

Logically speaking, as a brand-new recruit, there was no way Cyril should have been handed such a monumental task.

As a veteran power broker, how could Dorian not see the underlying motives? Inviting General Murray over at a time like this was simply his way of settling the score.

Accompanying General Murray was the very man who had assigned the mission in the first place.

When Hector Hargrove saw Cyril walking out of the commanding officer's office, his face turned deathly pale. He never could have imagined that his standard hazing of a rookie would result in him kicking a steel plate.

This fresh recruit was actually a young master of the Ravenshire family from Stormhollow!

Hector was silently screaming in agony. Seriously! If you had such an insane background, why didn't you say something?! Instead, you just swallowed your pride and let me torture you for a whole month. Is everyone in the Ravenshire family really this easygoing?!
