"Mr. Sinclair, I've already submitted my resignation ten minutes ago. Even if you haven't approved it, it's now after hours. I don't have to follow your orders," Isabella snapped.

"Do you have to be this infuriating? Between us, who really owes whom an apology?" Alexander roared.

His voice was loud enough for Theodore to hear every word clearly through the phone, making him frown.

She glanced at Theodore awkwardly and tried to keep her tone calm. "Do you realize it's pouring rain outside? You really want me to come back to the office right now?"

"Yes. Right now. Immediately," Alexander barked.

The call ended abruptly, leaving Isabella staring at her phone in disbelief. If he had been standing in front of her right then, she would have slapped him.

"Turn off your phone. Stop worrying about it," Theodore said abruptly, his voice colder than she'd ever heard before.

Isabella had never seen this side of him before. The controlled fury in his expression caught her off guard, and she stared at him in a daze.

He seemed to realize how harsh he sounded, so he took a deep breath and spoke gently. "It's okay. Just go home and rest tonight. Tomorrow, this will all be resolved. Listen to me and turn off your phone."

Something in his voice made her feel instantly calmer. She was done dealing with Alexander anyway, so she turned off her phone and decided to leave all the problems for tomorrow.

The next morning, Isabella woke up to find a glass of warm milk on her bedside table with a note beside it.

It read, "If you don't want to go to work, you don't have to."

It was Theodore's handwriting. He'd already left for work.

She quickly went online to check. Sure enough, she found the explanation video on SunnyBite's account.

"Hi everyone, this is SunnyBite. I want to address the recent plagiarism controversy. The artwork in question was inspired by a sketch I happened to come across, which explains why both pieces share a similar style. This isn't a case of plagiarism. It's just inspiration from the same original piece. Thank you all for your concern."

Isabella stared at the screen, speechless. What kind of explanation was this? How could someone make plagiarism sound so reasonable?

The same source of inspiration? What source? SunnyBite's inspiration came directly from Isabella's sketch. If this didn't count as plagiarism, then what did?

Isabella was truly angry now. Some people pick on those they think are weak, but unfortunately, she wasn't one of them.

Isabella typed a comment. "Plagiarism is plagiarism. That so-called inspiration is bullshit."

After posting the comment, she turned off her phone and prepared to go to work. She was ready for her second battle of the day.
