Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 102

It made sense that an older man who kept his distance from women wouldn't know how to interact with one.

It served him right to be single for so many years.

"Achoo!"

Walking ahead of them, Benedict suddenly sneezed.

He rubbed his nose, thinking to himself that Grandpa Howard must be cursing him behind his back.

The restaurant inside the golf club's clubhouse.

The atmosphere was serene, the decor elegantly understated, exuding a quiet luxury that was both peaceful and incredibly private.

They entered a private dining room separate from the main hall, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the manicured greens outside.

As soon as the three of them sat down, the server quietly stepped forward to serve the food.

Benedict sat at the head of the table, offering Vanessa a warm smile. "Please, Ms. Grant."

Vanessa took the seat to his left.

Normally, Alistair would sit to Benedict's right, or directly across from them. But shockingly, he didn't care about appearances at all and sat right next to her.

Wedged between the two men, Vanessa felt incredibly uncomfortable, her heart pounding erratically.

Yet Benedict calmly picked up the menu, flipping through it with lowered eyes as if this was completely normal.

"This place serves authentic mild and fresh food. Do you have any dietary restrictions, Ms. Grant?"

"I'm fine with anything. I'm not a picky eater."

"That's good," Benedict chuckled, looking over at his nephew. He added casually, "Unlike my nephew here. He hates spicy food, won't touch ginger, and avoids cilantro like the plague."

Vanessa froze, a sudden tightness gripping her chest.

She was suddenly reminded that Lucas also refused to eat ginger and cilantro. Whenever she used to cook for him, she would painstakingly pick every last piece out of his food...

Benedict took a sip of his tea and spoke with an air of nonchalance.
