Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 139

Recognizing the intruder, Jocelyn stepped forward, her face instantly turning ice-cold.

"Maggie Lowell, you're here to cause trouble again? Didn't you learn your lesson last time?"

Maggie was the owner of a rival boutique across the street. She had always been insanely jealous of The Velvet Needle's success and constantly came over to stir up drama. The last time Jocelyn got off work, Maggie's brother had publicly harassed her. He didn't get away with it, though—Jocelyn had promptly dragged him to the police station.

Ever since Jocelyn flat-out refused to sign a settlement agreement, Maggie had held a vicious grudge. She constantly looked for excuses to harass them, spreading nasty rumors all over town to ruin Jocelyn's reputation.

"If it weren't for you, Jocelyn, my brother wouldn't be locked up!" Maggie's face twisted with malice, her voice shrill. "This isn't over by a long shot!"

Jocelyn stared back with freezing disdain. "What do you want?"

"I want you to drop the charges against my brother and pay us hundreds of thousands for emotional damages!" she demanded, entirely shameless.

"In your dreams," Jocelyn scoffed, her eyes full of contempt.

Maggie was thoroughly enraged by her defiance. She glared at the wealthy clients in the store and shrieked at the top of her lungs to ruin the atmosphere. "Everyone, this shop is closed for the day! Get out!"

She was blatantly trying to crash their business.

Vanessa stepped forward slowly, lowering her voice. "Jocelyn, what's going on?"

Not daring to hide anything, Jocelyn quickly summarized the situation.
