Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 140

"Are you two blind?! Get over here and help me beat this bitch!"

Snapping out of it, the two men immediately lunged forward to intervene. Seeing that Jocelyn was about to be outnumbered, Vanessa's eyes turned lethal as she quickly stepped in.

"This is a personal dispute between the two of them. If you step in, you'll be charged as accomplices to assault! This shop is fully monitored by security cameras. Do you want to go to jail too?"

Her voice wasn't loud, but her warning was crystal clear. The two men exchanged nervous glances and hesitated, entirely too afraid to make a move.

Ten minutes later, Jocelyn brushed a clump of pulled hair off her hands. Maggie was slumped on the floor, slapping her thighs and wailing dramatically.

"Assault! They're beating people at The Velvet Needle! Where is the justice?!"

Vanessa frowned, stepping forward to plant a firm kick on Maggie's shoulder, her voice dripping with ice.

"You can insult me, and you can insult Jocelyn. But you have absolutely no right to spew your filthy trash at my clients!"

"Every single woman in my store is a respectable lady, and I will not tolerate your malicious slander. You came in here to defame my business and disrespect my VIPs. There is no way I am letting you walk away from this."

When had these high-society women ever been spoken to like that? Their faces had long since darkened with fury, and they glared at Maggie with sheer disgust and contempt.

"What a pathetic, vulgar woman. Spouting such absolute garbage—she's out of her mind!"

"Barging into someone else's business in broad daylight to start rumors and extort them. Has she no shame?"

"I've lived a long life, and I have never seen someone so thoroughly unreasonable and savage!"

Their cold rebukes rained down on her, every word laced with aristocratic disdain, making Maggie's pathetic tantrum look even more grotesque.

Without missing a beat, Lydia pulled out her phone and dialed a number, her tone brokering no argument. "Hello? Send officers to The Velvet Needle immediately. Someone is causing a major disturbance and threatening local business."

The police arrived incredibly fast. Officers from the local precinct showed up just minutes after the call.
