Claimed by the Crown Heir novel Chapter 149

But the onlookers merely watched in terrified silence. No one dared step forward, and nobody dared make a sound.

Everyone kept their heads down, pretending not to see, absolutely terrified of bringing the danger onto themselves.

The massive club was packed to the brim, yet not a single soul was willing to lend a helping hand.

Utter devastation flooded Giselle's eyes.

"If anyone here even thinks about helping her, you're making an enemy out of me!"

Victor swept his gaze over the trembling crowd, scoffing darkly. His voice dripped with raw malice.

"What the hell are you waiting for? Drag her back to the villa!"

"No..."

Giselle thrashed helplessly. Just as she was about to completely surrender to despair, she caught sight of Vanessa striding through the crowd.

A faint, desperate glimmer ignited in her lifeless eyes.

"Vanessa, help me!"

The crowd parted automatically as Vanessa walked right up to them.

Seeing the pathetic state Giselle was in, Vanessa frowned imperceptibly. Giselle was terribly pale, her face bruised and swollen, a fresh streak of blood on her lips. Her hair was a tangled mess, her entire demeanor broken and haggard. Stripped of her usual arrogance, her eyes held nothing but raw terror.

Vanessa knew she had messed up, but she never imagined it had gotten this severe.

"You haven't been home for days. Don't tell me you've been with Mr. Vance this entire time?"

"Vanessa, he locked me up! He tried to force me to transfer the money, and when I refused, he wouldn't let me leave... I'm so sorry. I know I was wrong. I never should have trusted him!"

Giselle sobbed, her voice breaking with genuine remorse and trauma.

It was blatantly obvious that she finally regretted her arrogance.
