Charlotte’s smile turned sharp, loaded with meaning.

“Looking for someone?”

Natalie shot back, “None of your business.”

“He didn’t come.”

“You like him?”

Natalie flinched.

“Y-you… you got out of prison?”

“Yeah. Killed someone. Went to prison.”

Natalie took a step back.

“You killed…”

Gordon’s smile turned sinister. “Yeah. Not only killed them-I dismembered them. Cut

the body into piece after piece, dripping with blood, and then…”

Natalie clapped her hands over her ears.

Matthew ended his conversation with Calvin and walked over.
