Claiming their Omega (Suzi de Beer) novel Chapter 27

  1. VALIANT

This had to be the worst idea you’ve ever had.

I glanced at Elias. We both know that it was the best idea. Don’t look at me like that, we both know that Daisy is ours and the only way to get her to stay is for Alex to accidentally bond her.

Accidentally bond her?Elias scoffed. Alex doesn’t do anything by accident, Val. Your plan is not going to

work.

I rolled my eyes, even though I knew that he was right. Alex always did things that he planned down to the finest details. He has been like that since we were little, but I didn’t really pay that much attention to his obsession.

Until now.

We need him to do something accidentally with Daisy so she has no choice but to stay. There was no chance of him knocking her up so I was hoping that her preheat would hit him so hard that he wouldn’t be able to resist

her.

One single drop of blood was all it would take to bond us all together.

He likes her,I told Elias. Alex never likes someone.

So? She’s easy to like. It doesn’t mean that he wants her to stay.

I sighed, sending him a glare.

Logical Elias was someone I hated. He was no fun. And I hated the fact that he was right about things most of the time.

How long are we going to hide out here?Elias questioned as stood and walked over to the window.

I wasn’t lying about work,I muttered. There’s a case I need to work on, but I also thought we could go over a few names of people you’ve put in jail that might go after Daisy.

You ain’t no saint either.Elias turned around. Alex has a few enemies as well. We need to check every name

on that list.

What?I questioned when he pulled a face.

I have Daisy’s old case files,he said softly. I’ll go through it and make a few calls to find out if any of the men have been released from prison.

I swallowed and then nodded.

We needed to figure out who was behind those messages and the photo that was sent to Daisy before her heat hit fully. Our penthouse was secured and we could arrange for extra security during her heat but anything could happen when we get lost in our rut.

We can’t rule out John,Elias said. I don’t trust him or any of the men that work for him.

Right, I pulled some more favours.I sat up a little straighter. We should have some more information by tomorrow.

Elias said nothing.

Letting out a sigh, I unlocked my computer and got to work. The sooner I got it done, the sooner we could get back home.

I smirked, a rush of excitement running through me. I couldn’t wait to get home, to get back to Daisy, and crawl into bed with her.

We entered the penthouse at seven fifteen to find Alex sitting at the kitchen counter, going through papers. He paused, slowly raising his head to look at us.

Daisy?I questioned.

Asleep. He picked up another paper. In the nest.

How is she doing?

Slight fever and headache, but I gave her some pills for that. She ate a slice of toast and drank some juice before she fell asleep again,he said.

Has Erika stopped by yet?

Alex frowned. She called and said she should be here by nine.

Hopefully sooner,Elias muttered under his breath.

I left them in the kitchen and made my way towards the nest.

The door was open but the room had been cleaned. Walking over the bed, I stared down at a sleeping Daisy. I sucked in a deep breath and bit back a moan when her scent filled my nostrils. It was mixed with Alex’s but the combination wasn’t so bad.

Kicking off my shoes, I pulled my shirt over my head and pushed down my pants.

Daisy was sleeping on her stomach, one arm pushed under the pillow her head rested on. The sheets were kicked down to the end of the bed, leaving her curvy body exposed.

She stirred when I placed one knee on the bed but didn’t wake up.

Hesitating for a moment, I crawled onto the bed the rest of the way and settled at her side.

My eyes fluttered closed as exhaustion hit.

We hadn’t known her long, but I knew for certain that she was the right omega for us. It pained me to say this, but if Alex wasn’t going to make her our omega, I was going to do it myself. I wasn’t going to let her get away.

It might destroy our pack.

But that was a risk I was willing to take if it meant keeping Daisy by my side as my omega.

I smiled.

Fuck, I couldn’t wait for our parents to meet her. Mom Bee was going to love her. The smile faded as I thought about Mom Sylvia. She was a little harder to impress but I was sure that Daisy would manage to wrap her around her little finger like she had with Alex.

Rolling onto my back, I pushed my hands behind my head and blinked up at the thick curtains covering the top

of the bed.

If Daisy was staying then we needed to make some changes. She could paint her room any colour she wanted. Or.. it would be better if she moved into my room.

My smirk widened as my mind went straight to the gutter. All the fun we could have

As if knowing that I was thinking of her, Daisy rolled onto her side and blinked sleepy eyes at me. Her lips slowly curled up into a smile. Before I could reach for her, she moved closer.

When did you get back?”

My body instantly reacted to the huskiness of her voice. I swallowed. A few minutes ago.

You were gone the whole night. She frowned. Did you get any work done?

Yes, we did.I rubbed my thumb across her lips. Did you have fun?

Colour flooded her cheeks. It hurt at first, but after that, it felt good.

Did Alex take good care of you?

Daisy nodded.

Good.

Slipping my hand to the back of her neck, I pulled her lips down for a brief kiss.

Let’s get some more sleep,I told her. Elias will wake us for lunch.

Her eyes darted over my face and then dropped to my chest. I need to pee first.

Hurry back.

My eyes dropped to her ass when she ran towards the bathroom. Smiling, I let out a loud sign.

Life was perfect.
