Chapter 124 Dinner Plans
Julian isn’t picky?
Quinn found that hard to believe.
Someone like Julian had probably grown up surrounded by the best of everything.
Fished
The best schools. The best neighborhoods. A life filled with polished manners and effortless authority. Everything about him spoke of wealth and status.
That was exactly why Quinn felt like he belonged to a completely different world.
If she was going to treat him to dinner, the restaurant had to be good.
She simply couldn’t picture Julian sitting in a cramped, rundown diner.
So she asked Lucy to pick a place Julian had probably been before. Somewhere nice, somewhere he might actually enjoy.
Lucy hesitated.
“This place is going to cost a lot,” she said. “You work really hard for your money. Maybe we should choose somewhere cheaper?”
Quinn shook her head.
“No, let’s keep this one.”
She smiled lightly. “It’s okay. Money can be earned again. Besides, if we’re inviting Julian, we should at least show some sincerity.”
She continued, “He let us see that incredible jewelry collection. Experiences like that are priceless.”
Lucy nodded.
“True.”
She grinned. “Alright then. We’re sticking with it.”
A little before six, Lucy called from the living room. “Quinn, come on. Julian’s here.”
Julian had come straight from the office.
He was wearing a perfectly tailored suit, looking composed and distant again, the relaxed side

Lucy pushed Quinn toward the car first as usual, then headed to the front passenger seat.
Quinn stepped in with one foot and suddenly realized something.
Julian was sitting in the back seat. A driver was behind the wheel today. Lucy noticed it too, but she still nudged Quinn fully into the car.
“Same rule as always,” she said cheerfully. “I take the front seat.”
Quinn had already gotten in, so getting back out would have been awkward.
Fortunately they sat on opposite sides of the back seat, leaving a noticeable space between them.
Still, Quinn felt extremely
fortable.
She cleared her throat politely. “Mr. Sterling.”
Julian responded with a quiet hum.
Lucy turned around from the front seat. “Julian, Quinn is basically going broke treating you tonight.”
Quinn immediately protested.
“Lucy, please don’t say it like that.”
Lucy laughed. “I’m reminding Julian not to order half the menu. That place is expensive.”
Quinn felt slightly embarrassed. She knew Lucy meant well, but she didn’t want Julian getting the wrong
idea.
“It’s really fine,” Quinn said quickly. “Order whatever you like, Mr. Sterling. Don’t listen to her.”
Lucy burst out laughing. “Quinn, the way you said that almost sounds like you’re spoiling Julian.”
Quinn’s face instantly turned bright red. “W–what are you talking about?”
My wallet is going to suffer tonight.

Lucy waved her phone. “Julian, just order what you want. Quinn and I will look at the menu on the app.”
The restaurant obviously had a digital menu.
The two girls leaned together, scrolling through the options.
Julian ordered a few house specialties. Then he heard Lucy whisper loudly beside Quinn.
“This one is amazing, but wow it’s expensive.
“Quinn, you like desserts. What about this? Wait, why is that also so expensive?
“Everything here costs a fortune. My heart hurts.”
Quinn couldn’t help laughing.
Lucy had grown up wealthy and had never needed to worry about money.
But when she was around Quinn, she always tried to keep things relaxed and considerate.
There was none of the spoiled attitude people might expect from a rich girl.
Quinn cherished that friendship deeply. The dishes she chose were mostly Lucy’s favorites.
Julian rubbed his forehead lightl
and added two more dishes.
Julian was a VIP at this restaurant, so the owner had already instructed the kitchen to prioritize their order.
The food arrived quickly.
Lucy dug in happily while still talking. “Julian, you ordered so much. This is going to cost a fortune.”
