Chapter 226 Nowhere to Hide
I really do like him.
But that was the one thing she couldn’t say out loud.
Julian had been waiting for an answer, but instead he caught her staring, completely focused on his chest without even trying to hide it.
He hadn’t gotten dressed yet, having rushed out with just a towel after hearing movement, already guessing she might try to leave.
And he had been right.
“You’ve had a pretty thorough look.” Julian said when she still didn’t respond, his tone calm but pointed. “So go ahead and tell me, how are you planning to take responsibility?”
Quinn snapped out of it immediately, shaking her head like she could undo what just happened. “Me? I didn’t see anything. And besides, you’re the one walking around half–dressed.”
Julian’s expression didn’t change. “Didn’t see anything? You’re the only woman who’s ever seen me like this, and now you’re pretending it didn’t happen?”
Quinn mumbled, trying to salvage something. “I didn’t see everything… just your upper body.”
Julian’s lips curved slightly, like he found that answer interesting.
Then, without warning, he straightened and stood up.
Quinn’s eyes followed him instinctively.
The next second, the towel slipped.
Everything was exposed, completely unfiltered. Her eyes widened, and her mind went completely blank.
She hadn’t been prepared, not even a little.
Look away. Just look away. This isn’t okay. But… he dropped it himself. I didn’t do anything wrong. Why shouldn’t I look?
Her thoughts clashed wildly, but her body didn’t move at all.
She didn’t move at all, just stood there looking at him, completely frozen, like her body had forgotten how
to react.
Her eyes stayed locked on him, unblinking, as if even the smallest movement might break whatever had just settled between them.
Julian’s body was right there in front of her, nothing hidden, nothing softened, and somehow even more striking than she had imagined.
He already looked good in a suit, but clothes could hide flaws.

hed
Here, there were none to hide.
Everything about him looked balanced, defined, almost unreal.
Did someone seriously spend extra time making him or something? How is this even possible?
And with that face on top of it, it felt almost ridiculous,
Anyone would be drawn to him.
Lucy’s favorite celebrities didn’t even come close.
Julian looked down at her, watching her stare without any attempt to look away, like she had completely forgotten what embarrassment meant.
“So?” he said calmly. “You’ve seen everything now. Happy? Or do you still want to pretend you didn’t?”
That finally snapped Quinn back to reality.
Her face burned as the realization hit all at once.
What was she doing?
A normal person would have turned away instantly.
Why hadn’t she?
She quickly raised both hands and covered her eyes. “Put something on, seriously, just put something on!”
Julian figured she had seen more than enough, so he bent down, picked up the towel, and wrapped it back
around his waist.

“You’ve already seen everything,” he said, settling onto the edge of the bed. “Getting dressed now doesn’t really change much.”
“I didn’t mean to,” Quinn said, her thoughts still tangled. “It’s not like I did anything. You’re the one who dropped it.”
Julian looked at her, amused but unrelenting. “So because I dropped it, that means you get to stare? And now you think you’re justified?”
Quinn felt like she might actually cry from embarrassment. “I’m sorry…”
Julian exhaled lightly. “Another apology. What exactly am I supposed to do with all of those?”
“Then what do you want from me?” she asked, completely at a loss.
Julian leaned back slightly, still watching her. “Now that you’ve seen everything, are you finally going to take responsibility?”
Quinn had no answer.

Her face was buried halfway in the blanket again, her silence doing all the talking.
mashed
Julian reached out and pulled the blanket down just enough so she couldn’t hide completely. “Hiding isn’t going to fix anything. Quinn, sooner or later, you’re going to have to face this”
Her voice trembled. “You said you wouldn’t force me…”
Julian’s tone softened slightly. “I’m not.”
She hesitated, then slowly lowered her hands. “Really?”
The moment she looked up, her eyes landed right back on him, on his shoulders, his chest, even with the towel back in place.
She immediately looked away again.
Julian noticed, and a faint smile flickered. “You’ve already seen it all, and now you’re suddenly shy?”
“Stop,” Quinn said quickly, completely flustered. “Just stop talking.”
Julian let out a quiet breath, easing the pressure just a little. He didn’t want to push her too far and scare her off again. “Alright, I’ll drop it. But at least promise me one thing, don’t try to sneak off like that again.”
Quinn thought about it for a moment before answering, her voice steadier now. “Tomorrow, after I finish the paperwork, I’m going to stay with Lucy for a while.”
