“I did. I went back to the office for a while. I’m home now. The car downstairs is just for you.”

“I’ll get ready and head down right now.”

Quinn hung up, and Lucy immediately leaned over. “Going off for a private date with Julian?”

Quinn said, “I’m going over for dinner. Do you want to come with us, Lucy?”

“Not a chance. I’m not going to be a third wheel. Julian would be furious if he saw me there!”

“Don’t you?” Julian tilted her chin up to make her look at him. “Tell me. Do you like it?”

But saying it out loud was far too embarrassing for her.

Julian wouldn’t let her off the hook, though. He needed to hear the answer from her.

“Do you like it? Tell me.”
