Chapter 383 Less Frequency or Shorter Sessions?

Not long ago, he’d asked Julian for help, hoping Julian could talk to his family for him-he’d had no desire to go through with the arranged marriage.

lian formally introduced Quinn to everyone.

He was nothing like Zeke, who claimed every new girl was his true love only to break up shortly after.

Julian had never cared for anyone in his life before Quinn.

Naturally, everyone treated her with great respect.

Midway through the meal, however, unexpected guests showed up.

It was Zoe, accompanied by a young man.

He appeared to be in his mid-twenties, tall and handsome, dressed in a sharp suit with broad shoulders and a narrow waist, exuding an elegant air.

Lucy whispered to Quinn, “That’s Zoe’s oldest brother, Jason Jinn.”

Quinn nodded.

At the sight of the two, Zeke looked annoyed, but he couldn’t afford to disrespect the Jinn family.

He raised a hand in greeting. “What brings you two here? Have a seat.”

Someone quickly and politely pulled out a chair beside Zeke.

He wasn’t ready for another relationship.

Finished

On top of that, the arranged marriage his family had forced on him left him feeling rebellious.

To be fair, Zoe came from a good family and was beautiful-she was more than a match for him.

But he just couldn’t bring himself to feel good about it.

Many at the table knew Jason, so the atmosphere stayed relaxed.

But Quinn could have sworn she felt his eyes drifting toward her every now and then.

The group was mostly finished eating, and not much alcohol had been consumed-Julian’s presence was so commanding that even his close friends didn’t dare act too wild.

Only Zeke had drunk quite a bit.

Near the end of the dinner, Jason walked over, clinked glasses with Julian, exchanged a few words, then glanced at Quinn. “And this is…?”

Julian said, “My girlfriend, Quinn Lane.”

On the ride back, Lucy complained, “Did Jason never see a pretty girl before? He kept staring at Quinn.”

Julian had noticed too-that was why he’d ended the dinner early and left with the two girls.

He told the driver to drop Lucy off first.

Quinn said, “He wasn’t staring that much.”

But he had been looking; it hadn’t just been her imagination.

Lucy giggled. “Maybe he’s just shocked Julian finally has a girlfriend. Everyone used to think he was completely uninterested in romance.”

Quinn smiled.

Julian laced his fingers through hers and squeezed. “That funny to you?”

Quinn couldn’t explain-not with Lucy there.

The phrase “uninterested in romance” no longer applied to Julian at all.

Once, she’d thought he seemed distant, almost otherworldly.

But now? He was utterly insatiable.

Far from being uninterested-he was completely addicted.

When they got home, Julian took a work call. As soon as he hung up. Zeke was calling again.

Moments of Shorter Sessions?

He answered

Zeke asked, “You home”

“Yeah What’s cap?

Zeke said, Jason was acting weird tonight. After you left, he kept asking about Quinn

“What did he ask?

“About her family, what her parents do, who else is in her household.*

“You tell him?

“Hell no. I barely wanted to talk to him.” Zeke paused. “What’s his game? He wouldn’t dare make a move on your girl, would he?”

Julian said, “I don’t know. But I’m having someone look into him.”

Quinn’s family background would be easy to dig up.

He couldn’t figure out what Jason was after.

Julian felt a sharp, unpleasant twist in his chest-he hated the thought of any other man eyeing his girl.

When he walked into the bedroom, Quinn was already lying quietly in bed, looking up at him with bright. clear eyes.

He couldn’t resist. He strode over, bent down, and kissed her softly. “Wait for me. I’ll go shower.”

Wait for what?

It was obvious,

Quinn suddenly grabbed his arm. “Can we… sleep in separate rooms tonight?”

Julian frowned in confusion. “Why?”

“We agreed we’d take it easy, remember?” Quinn said. “Let’s start today.”

“By ‘take it easy’ you mean…” Julian looked at her. “Less frequency? Or shorter sessions?”

Quinn’s ears burned. “Both.”
